You just went to the bathroom, number 1 or number 2? I want to know everything, everything 'bout you.

"A to Z" started rough, but has turned into one of the new comedies that I really enjoy. I really like "Marry Me" and I think that "A to Z" is on par with that show. NBC really jumped the gun on the cancellation, but then again, these are rough times for new comedies on network TV. If you want your comedy to last

"Making jokes about gayness is not an inherently bad thing. Gay comedians do it all the time." Because those comedians are gay. The gay panic jokes are tired and homophobic and as a gay man, I'm sick of hearing them. "Dude, don't touch me because that makes us gay and being gay is fucking gross and gay, bro."

Exactly. And "Ever After" and "Act II Prologue" combined would've added less than 10 minutes to the runtime. It's almost as if Disney (why, god, why was this an effing Disney movie?!) wanted to do the "junior" version of the musical (just Act I) but ultimately settled for the most watered-down version of the second

Tardy to the party, but whatever. In short, Rob Marshall can pretty much suck it. This was a "C" for me. This should never have been a g.d. Disney movie. SPOILERS below.

There was a remake of The Thing From Another World, yes, but there's been no remake of The Thing.

You know, 2011's The Thing is actually not bad. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is quite good in it. The only jarring thing is that the "thing" creature effects are updated 2011-style, which every prequel of this sort seems to do ("Prometheus," etc. Well, maybe not "etc." because I can't think of another example). It

There needs to be a new section called, "Meh, Semi-admirable Try, Internet."

No one remade The Thing. The thing is, there was a prequel to The Thing called The Thing that came out in 2011. It dealt with the Norwegian camp and while The Thing wasn't as great as The Thing, the last part leading into The Thing was pretty great.

("Beautiful Stranger," though, not "Mysterious.") "Die Another Day" is a great pop/electronica song, but I think the lyrics are a bit lacking in substance. But then again, most Bond theme songs are like that, I suppose. "Masterpiece" deservedly won a Golden Globe, but I was disappointed that it couldn't be

Ah, yes, Madonna snobbery from people who probably haven't even heard her nominated song rears its head again. She won a Golden Globe for "Masterpiece" in 2011 and might have won the Oscar had it not been for the fact that the song wasn't played early enough in the credits. There were only *TWO* Oscar nominated

I was really surprised at how suspenseful that scene was for me. The whole time, I kept saying to myself, "Please don't let it be another woman, please don't let it be another woman." Luckily, that wasn't the case.

You know, I just watched "The Girl" with Sienna Miller as Tippi Hedren and Toby Jones as Alfred Hitchcock and the similarities between that movie and this episode were pretty striking. Not that that was intentional at all, but Valerie doing take after take in the trunk of the car with snakes was reminiscent of

I'm assuming this is how one becomes a reviewer of The Simpsons at The A.V. Club:

I'm with you. Every g.d. Simpsons review (both classic and current) starts off with/includes a tangent about how the show isn't what it used to be during the "golden age." We fucking. Get it. Just don't bother with the rest of the reviews because they all follow the same pattern.

It really seems like a "B-" is the de facto grade for every Simpsons review this season, as if each episode is automatically given that grade before viewing. I really wish the reviewers stopped going in with the mindset of, "Welp, The Simpsons golden years are way over, so it's time for another mediocre episode of

"How I Spent My Strummer Vacation." "Dude, Where's My Ranch." "That '90s Show" (not a fan of that episode, but for this comment, it's serving its purpose). "Homer Simpson, This is Your Wife." Episodes in which Homer plays piano or guitar or went to a rock and roll training camp or formed a musical group. Granted,

"Am I really a fan of The Simpsons if I no longer watch the show?"

I'm glad I didn't tune in at all this season, then. Coven was a complete mess with no character development and plots that came and then just vanished. All flash, no substance. I stopped watching after the xmas break and then just never returned (although I read reviews/recaps here — it seems the ending was

For a site that doesn't even review American Dad, you certainly mention it (and its quality) in a lot of articles. Can you please just start reviewing it again?
