Great news! I could always use more American Dad. But the current season so far has been kind of underwhelming. I know I've seen every episode, but I can't really recall what's happened in any of them. And as far as "edgy" goes, the characters can say "shit" now and they've added more potty humor (literally, as I

If you can't say something nice, you're Katherine Heigl. There's outspoken — Jennifer Lawrence, whom I actually find kind of annoying but seems to be honest and appreciative of her road to success and therefore is able to work with well-known directors/actors (I also think she's pretty talented) — and then there's

If you're looking through Buffy-colored glasses, sure. But I've never seen her in anything else that really made me think she was top-tier.

I actually think she was pretty horrible in the body-switching episode(s) (was it more than one?). Sarah Michelle Gellar has a limited range, but she was great at tackling Faith's tics and personality. But Eliza Dushku proved she couldn't handle anything challenging; she was Faith-saying-Buffy-lines and nothing else.

The Cleveland Show had a singing booger voiced by Justin Timberlake. It deserved every bad review it got. But I guess it is pretty astounding that each week it managed to be less funny and yet more disgusting than Family Guy.

How could this episode get the same grade as the "Lisa Goes Gaga" abortion?

I posted this above, but I really like John Gemberling in Broad City. He plays basically the same character, but for some reason, he's super grating in Marry Me. Maybe it's because in Broad City none of the characters are his friends whereas in Marry Me, we're supposed to believe the main characters have a full

I love John Gemberling on Broad City, but I just can't get into him on Marry Me. I wonder why that is.

I'm actually enjoying "A to Z." Now, I think the voice-over is unnecessary (as well as the "dating for 8 months whatever days blah blah blah"), but Milioti is charming and, save for Andrew's obligatory Stocky-Bearded-Best-Man-Friend, the supporting cast is excellent. Especially at Andrew's workplace. I'd totally

I'm enjoying A to Z. I'm not loving it as much as Marry Me (but I'm biased because I loved Happy Endings and just WANT SO BAD for that show be an extension of Happy Endings). Cristin Miloti is a great combination of snark and charm (snarm? chark?). The actor who plays Andrew is adequate, but the character is a

"In the end, they needed to speed through Ana Lucia’s flashbacks given she would only ever have two of them." And yet Libby has zero. Fuck you, Cuse and Lindelof.

I really enjoyed Kiele Sanchez's guest stint on "Expose." She had really great chemistry with Billy Dee Williams.

Wow, really? I find that really interesting and amazing. Amazresting? No. Two things:

I just found her flashbacks really predictable. Of course she was a cop. Of course she was pregnant. Of course she lost the baby and her job. Of course she killed the guy. I felt like her character was a response to all the people who wanted another female like Kate, but who was the opposite of Kate emotionally,

Christophobe.

Oh man, I have to disagree on that one. I like her on-island stuff, but not her flashbacks. To each his own, though!

And I just decided that I'm re-watching Alias starting this weekend.

I'll grant you that the studio stepping in brought the show down a bit in the last 2 seasons (especially 4). But I still maintain that seasons 1-3 are great, season 4 is a misstep, and season 5 is (mostly) a return to form.

I know. And she deserved it. But I'm still such a sourpuss over the whole thing. I did, however, love Libby's small but vital role in Desmond's life in the season finale. I think the writer's threw her a bone.

It seems to be on Netflix for good, so you've got some time. It's an exciting show and Terry O'Quinn is in season 3 (and possibly season 2, I can't remember).
