I like my sci-fi terrifying and suspenseful, so I'm a huge fan of Alien. I enjoy the action filmage of Aliens, Alien 3 is all right, and Alien: Resurrection is one I enjoy more than Alien 3, even though it's insane and has Joss Whedon's "See how clever I am right now when I do this clever thing? You're welcome for

I'm listening to New Pornographers's Whiteout Conditions, despite the fact that Erik Adams gave it a C+ when we all know it's an A-. The hell was he thinking…

If you can't say something nice, you're Katherine Heigl…

Music and art being subjective and what-not:
I just cannot get on board with Lana Del Rey's music. It's Urban Outfitters, Xanax, and white zinfandel with an ice cube blended together and served in a tinted Boopie glass.

Man, the spoon thing…

They keep using songs that musically sound appropriate but are lyrically the opposite. Both Seinabo Sey's song at cece & Schmidt's wedding and Lorde's "Green Light" are post-breakup. Should it bug me? No. But it does.

I'm always a week behind, but yes! I came here to see if anyone else had mentioned it. That film doesn't get the love it deserves. It's a fantastic domestic dark comedy.

Yeah, I kept waiting for A Seat at the Table to get a review here.

I would love to see that comment — was there more to it or was that the gist of it?

Overruled. I hate both those films.

Nah. Agree to disagree. I'll take the suspense, drama, and darkness of the last 6 than his candy-coated kidz bop films.

Chris Columbus: Responsible for the worst 2 Harry Potter movies, managed to take a musical about AIDS and somehow make it nauseatingly whimsical (although I kind of hate "Rent" in the 1st place, so grain of salt). I don't want him touching "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," a show I love dearly.

Ugh. I mean, this is good news, as I used Hulu to watch CW shows and now have another option, but it's one more channel I have to add + commercials. Whatever, it's free.

For real. I shouldn't have to search for a show that I've been watching.

From "The Man Who Knew too Much" section:
"…and say what you will about Doris Day, but the whole movie could be boiled down to her keen Jo’s two big musical scenes. Whether fretting the “Storm Clouds” cantata’s crescendo or wailing “Que Sera, Sera,” she hits that sweet spot of Hitchcockian tone: at once tense and

I saw this film last weekend and have mixed feelings. It was a lot of "If you loved what happened in the first film, you'll love it again in this one!" moments. But Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth have such great chemistry together; that's what elevated it for me. Mostly better than the 2nd, obviously worse than the

"Mamma Mia" should never have been carried to full term. I'm an average Meryl Streep fan. I recognize that she's a very good actress, but at the same time, I'm like, "There ARE other actresses, people." But in "Postcards From the Edge," "Death Becomes Her," and (even though it was a horrible mess of a movie) "Ricki

Three Men and a Baby. Friends. The Hangover. About a Boy (to a lesser extent in that the kid was older).

I hated it too. A lot. I'm with ya, man.

Ohhhhhhhhhh wow. I hated this episode. Maybe it's because I spent absolutely zero time during the other seasons thinking about how fish and other sea creatures lived. Maybe it's because I found the whole baby-latches-onto-sad-single-man thing a little too formulaic and cliched. Maybe it's because, in my mind, it
