I was really underwhelmed by this season. I can't even remember major plots for some of the characters, especially Diane. And I won't get into this in case people haven't seen it yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting the review for the next episode because, boy, did I hate it.

^^THIS (sort of). I felt like the only person in America who didn't enjoy "12 Angry Men." Schumer seems to want to ride the "I-know-I'm-*really*-f**kable-but-a-few-bros-and-women-don't-think-I-am-so-here's-another-"smart"-winking-sketch-about-men-arguing-about-how-f**kable-I-am" thing until the wheels fall off. For

"The Soft Skin." Francoise Dorleac is a vision.

Fudge, this better not mean they're taking them off Hulu. I never would've watched Truffaut's "The Soft Skin" (loved it) or Bunuel's "Belle de Jour" (meh) or Cocteau's "Beauty and the Beast" (loved it) or Obayashi's "House" (bonkers as fuck, but loved it) without Hulu. I hope the ones they have can remain on there,

I'm a huge fan of Grey Gardens and I guess don't find it to be especially creepy (haunting, though? Definitely.), but uggggggghhh that stupid found footage horror movie ending. It was cheap, it was silly, it was pandering, it was lazy . . . I hated it.

Wow, I just heard the demo version of "Rebel Heart" (the song) on YouTube and maaaaaaannnnn. I wish that had been the version on the album.

I'll have to revisit that one. I remember thinking that the Mirwais electronic vibe was a bold move from the William Orbit vibe when I first heard it. And my favorites from that album are the non-Mirwais songs: "Runaway Lover," "What it Feels Like for a Girl" (THAT VIDEO!), and "Gone". "Amazing" is way too much a

I feel like Beyonce's eponymous fifth album was the closest any current pop/R&B artist has gotten to Erotica. But it still doesn't beat Erotica. And I would love to get my hands on a copy of the "Sex" book — an ex had a French copy and I should have taken it from that cheating bastard — but it's so rare and

I enjoyed the Grey Gardens episode until that horrible fucking ending. It ruined the episode for me and I just couldn't go back and watch the rest of the episodes. Can anyone tell me if the rest of them are worth it?

I think Ray of Light is bar none her best album, but Rebel Heart is fantastic. There's such an abundance of great songs; I'm still discovering favorites. The title track was on repeat last weekend.

This is a great track from an ambitious album. I'm a huge (huge, my friend) Madonna fan, but I've come to realize that, while her lyrics are usually basic and simplistic, the melody, music, and production are where she really brings it. "Rain" is a great example of this.

Give me Heather Langenkamp (again) or give me no one!

I highly suggest watching the 30 for 30 documentary about Tonya and the Nancy incident ("The Price of Gold") on Netflix. Tonya Harding is nutso. I started out on her side, just a little bit, but by the end, when even Tonya's best childhood friend is like, "Of course Tonya was in on it," you can't help but agree.

I liked Melissa George in season 3 of "Alias," by which I mean I hated her (character) in season 3 of "Alias." Ugh, Lauren. It was so satisfying to hate her.

I really wish you guys were still covering American Dad. While I think some of the luster rubbed off in the transition from Fox to TBS (although they can say "shit" now!), this season's episodes are bringing it. "Stan-Dan Deliver" from last week was one of the best episodes they've ever done.

Those pics are giving me major Bedtime Stories-era Madonna vibes.

Yeah, I'd always had VERY mixed feelings about Gawker and Jezebel, but after that Geithner hit article which served absolutely no purpose and was basically part of a beef Gawker had with Conde Nast, I haven't visited any of their sites. That was some nasty, nasty stuff.

Aw, I loved Nod-Bot, you cynical dastard.

I like my old machine though.

I didn't have a lot of interest in reading this book, but holy shit, now I feel as if I MUST READ IT.*
*And now I'm #92 (out of 56 copies) on hold for it at my library.
