I think Terry Farrell improves as Dax in the very next, episode "The Passenger". She plays exactly to the type established here: a very smart, motivated young woman who doesn't need others to validate her direction. And this, in an episode that really features Odo at his most professionally vain and poor Julian Bashir

Loved this ep
…and it cemented my interest in the show, though the first episode probably did enough. I like how Simon featured the confrontation around the fish tank practically note-for-note. Guess it wasn't coincidence that was one of the scenes I remember most from the series.

"Twinkies" have two World Series titles and, oh, the MAJORITY of AL Central div titles over the last decade+.

Great article, purely for the surprise…
Unlike some commenters, I don't mind that this site deals with sports (in a pretty minor capacity, but I digress) occasionally, so that's why I call this a "surprise".

There wasn't any "anal raping". He made him give him a handy at gunpoint.

Sacrilege. Buckaroo Banzai is every bit as awesome as it seems. "Blad Runner" bores plenty of people too, and you're always sure to hear their opinions about it, but it doesn't really erase the (admittedly revised) collective consensus about it.

"But from my point of view, it's the JEDI who are evil!"

If it was ever acceptable for someone to ape one of John Belushi's most famous scenes in Animal House, letting Worf do it was definitely one of them.

@OP: They did, and I bet there's more video out there to prove it.

@The Motherfucking Shore Patrol:
you remember your school ever playing Irondale? I went and "played" for em. Somehow we were in the same conference for a while, and had to get annual beatdowns from your farmer boys. Unpleasant, to say the least.

The shoes were a nod to the (then) current hot trend of athletic shoes being marketed. Them's were the days of Air Jordans and the like, which cost aforementioned $200.

Ditto on this being my first adaptation of "A Christmas Carol". Granted, I was born in 1983, so this was long in the tooth by the time I first caught it as a four or five year old.

Rollins is awesome.

Sounded like the 16yo at the desert hippy camp wanted his nuts.

I take it you guys have never gone hiking. Or camping. Or any possibly risky behavior like riding a bike without a helmet. If you do it over and over, it's easy to underestimate the dangers and risks, but it isn't as if he's bouldering the north face of El Capitan.

Wait, am I missing something? (Possible *Spoilers*)
Is the near-consensus around here that BoBW part II was a disappointment? Because I thought that was one of the best two-parter endings I've ever seen in this series.

I have a book written by a CIA vet of 30 years who now teaches at Texas A&M about Global policy/espionage stuff, discussing ethical and moral issues of the spy world (incredibly fascinating stuff, and a real find - 10 cents at the local book store).

The selection can be lacking but the one time I've used it I rented "The Crazies" (surprisingly good) and "Up in the Air" (hipster backlash aside, it was an Oscar-nominee). No "A Prophet", but that's still better than nothing.

The brunette in the above photo, at least the one available to me on the mobile version, has her cooter visible. It's practically see-through down there - you can totallly see the vert line.

Um… don't feed the trolls.
