I think that earlier work looks fantastic in context of his later work on the "Storyteller" series, which remains among my favorite TV shows ever.

I second Rolf —my Dad and I can quote every horrible one-liner he says in every episode of "Veterinarian's Hospital".
Ha! I was thinking the same thing. She'd be much more sympathetic a character if she had a chance to kick some butt instead of just moping all the time.
Dalton reached new levels of awesomeness. I was already pleased as punch with his Tuttle performance, and then to see him in the suit, all suave, I was like "fuck, I'd be a bad guy if he could be my boss."
The dogs in Pixar's "Up" are perfectly realized as well. The dinner scene in particular is fantastic.
It wasn't me!
It was the one-armed man!
We're all going to have egg on our face…
when everything they say turns out to be true. Mark my words.
Did you just channel Gretchen and answer your own question?
I share the blame, because I hit mute as her collection came down the runway and started singing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in a terrible falsetto voice.
She did get the best line of the night, though. When the judges mentioned that Andy had backed away from his edginess, Jessica said "Why? Did you scare him?" Cue nervous smiles from Kors and Garcia, and a quick segue into the next topic.
As an addendum, John, thanks so much for all your hard work with these recaps. I find myself wanting to rush through each episode so I can leap from my sofa to the computer to see what you've written. You have insane amounts of talent and flash, which means that you would come in second to a Speak-n-Spell machine if…
"It was like watching the world's saddest 1990s ethnic-dance class."
Ladies and Gentlemen, John Teti has just nailed what the "future of fashion" is.
Zing! Todd just called Darabont old! Be careful you don't get…BURIED ALIVE!
A Shout out to the Fight Choreographers.
One thing that I haven't seen commented on yet is just how good the fight sequences in this show are choreographed. They're tight and exciting without ever becoming over the top. That bar fight looked as real as any of the ones I've ever been in, and it was great to see Ray…
I really liked this episode, too. And, I really felt Hank had earned his "You got served" line after that chase.
I concur with the TJ cell phone moment. It was so awesome to have two characters on TV acting how people really do when they're on the phone. The more I watch the show, the more I feel like it's hearing stories from two of my buddies when we have our monthly meet up at the pub.
I bought it immediately after seeing the link. I'm gonna buy a pickup truck and play it on repeat as I drive around town. Easily my fave theme song for years. And, as an aside, I love that they always leave a big pause after a fairly subdued moment before kicking in the opening credits. It's like a direct F-you to all…
Reading you title, I thought you were going to comment that Michael C's collection would have been more successful if he'd used more felt. That made laugh. I'm a simple sloth.
That's awesome! Uhhhh, Awesome…
It was worth having Ellie & Awesome in the episode just for Morgan's phone call.
I'd wear the sh#t out of a t-shirt that said "Miniature Ponies for April!"
