Actually, it has always been my secret hope that the designers stand up for themselves —not to the judges, but to the Garnier Hair Design staff.

Oh my god, that's genius. Good call back, sir or madame, good call back.

Ha! I thought exactly the same thing. I'm sure the original Hair Dude didn't even take notes or anything. "Ah, why even bother? I've been drinking since sunrise, so it's not like I'll remember any of this any way. In fact, I think I might take a 'personal day' tomorrow! Yay, union!"

Michael Meets Michael
Michael C's Kors impression was pretty much the most spot-on version I've ever heard. If he had truly wanted to be a reality show 'Star' instead of a designer, he could have just given everyone faux-critiques in that voice every episode of the season.

John took the words right out of my mouth when he wrote:

The "I'm just really relieved…" line was one of the best back-handed compliments I've ever heard. It was a masterpiece of the English language. It was like a "reverse-back-handed self-doubt-moment." I'm just in awe of how well she can talk purely about herself, and still make it seem like the 3 people chosen before

I hadn't heard any of the hype either, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Although, I was excited to think of it more as a riff on "Space Camp" than on Apollo 13.

I, too, love the addition of the Butt Flag to the Greendale Mythos —it will go well along with the Human Being, and let us not forget, the statue of Luis Guzman.

I Don't Get Starstruck Much…
But, if Mr. Borgnine told me to call him "Ernie", and then called me "Partner", I'd probably explode with ecstasy.

I was really hoping that in the "Gateway to Geekery: Conan" a couple of weeks ago, the "possible gateway" would have been: "Aragones' 'Groo the Wanderer'".

It was kind of hit and miss for me, but some great little lines thrown in.

"Now, or now?" "Neoow" had me snarfing coffee out my nose.

John, I hope the AV Club puts a little something extra in your Christmas bonus for that Gretchen-Beaker photo.

And, I actually loved the hoodie that Andy did enough that I thought my sister might like for Christmas, so I just took a stroll over to Amazon.com

I agree with you, John.
Ivy's "I believe in Karma" edit was possibly the greatest edit in PR history. I must have re-watched it a dozen times.

I have enjoyed this feature tremendously. Always well-written, and it made me want to read more. Great work, go have a beer.

Steph's rules.
You left out the best rule of caring for Steph: "Don't give her red wine with fish."

Fighting crime!

Streetwalking figure skaters are the worst. Always making that clink-clink noise as their blades cross the concrete from the curb to my car. Also, they leave extreme amounts of glitter everywhere that I have a hard time explaining to my wife when I get home.

@Carpediva: I second you on asking Val to be my surprised loved one. I bet she'd bring me cookies, too!
