I was amazed that Mondo singled out Nina to make his confession too. I'm still not entirely convinced that she doesn't kick puppies for fun. I will say that I've never seen her speechless like she was when he finished.

Putting aside all the emotional high-lows of this episode…
Mondo's design was completely out of this world. It really shows how he is on a different level as a designer, and a constructioner (?). When his model walked around the backdrop, I let out a very audible "woah". I almost wish I was a woman so I could wear his…
Carey didn't make an impact on me one way or the other, but the kind of suctioned-popping sound his hand made when he went to shake Jeff's hand was the funniest moment of the night.
I like that the show contains a serial arc, but that they're tying up the little mysteries 2-3 episodes at a time. Lindus is the big bad? Dead week 4. Stranger in the attic, drinking all the milk? Discovered next week. Enough to grab a viewer's attention and bring them back, but not so much to throw off someone tuning…
God, I love this show so much that I'm almost afraid to watch new episodes in case it gets canceled before the end of the story arc.
"Seriously, who takes your surveillance photos?"
I love Chuck the most when it remembers to gently spoof Spy movies, and the mission briefing photos were a classic example of that.
I loved how Heidi ended that comment with "So, you should have made the dress longer", once again proving her loyalty to boobage.
If I try to buy a used copy of Glass Teat
…will Harlan Ellison sue me?
Triple Dog?
If I haven't seen Double Dog, will I still be able to follow the story?
"People think you're some kind of Ogre, sir."
*sighs* "Why do you have no underwear, Lord Flashheart?"
Actually, I was too hungover when we met for lunch to murder him. I can attest, however, that Mr. Teti is a lovely man, and it was a fun, surreal afternoon discussing the ins and outs of Gretchen and Ivy's evilness at a cafe in Tokyo.
I make a solemn Sloth promise to not murder you. Unless you jump on the "live-blogging finales" band wagon.
It was the most interesting of his recaps so far. The fact that the challenge was essentially set/modified the same day was fascinating. I had wondered why the model pairings were done that way.
Tokyo, huh?
Got time to grab a beer? Since I don't have the budget to pull a "ZMF visits the AV Club", I'd settle for a "The AV Club visits a Sloth in Tokyo."
@Karla: I, for one, would totally watch that show.
@F.C.: Thanks for making me snarf coffee through my nose.
Go Easy on the Kids…
I know you are trying to inject your own kind of drama into the proceedings with these write-ups, but at several points you mock Kelly's hair, Ed's complexion, and the like. Have you ever been to Singapore? It's HUMID as all hell, which I can only imagine is compounded by being under bright TV…
"I knew I should have held out for animation rights."
Also, John —you the man!
John, you are really hitting the sweet spots with your reviews of the season. No worries about you ever ending up in the bottom 3. You have a fantastic way with words.
