I haven't read that, but the last short story in his "Reheated Cabbage" collection was also set in Miami. He's been around a while - maybe he's scoping out retirement communities.

The A.V. Club
Like, better-than-Dolph-Lundgren perfect.

No time for prequels, Dr. Stew.

Also his wasn't a recurring role - Terry was the star, and appeared in all 13 doomed episodes.

If this show fails, he'll be a laughingvostok.

Neither of them spent any time in Belgium. Maigret was written by a Belgian but worked in France. Poirot was Belgian, but he was written by an Englishwoman and he worked in England. So basically, fuck Belgium.
Or as Michael Palin-as-a-game-show-host once said, "I can't think of a more derogatory word than 'Belgians.'"

I really hoped there'd be more hits under the "Old Man Yelling" tag at the bottom.

Gary Oldman was neither "squat" nor "toad-like" yet he was cast as George Smiley in "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" - where was Rush on that one? The chubby-and-froggish lobby seems a better fit for him anyway.

I sort of think that was the point, though. Joani is a thoughtful and concerned parent, and yet she yielded two useless children in J.J. and Jeff. But then J.J., in turn, yielded the amazingly capable and balanced Alex. I feel like Trudeau's whole thesis is 'take it easy, it'll work out.'

You're a brave man, @muwarr90:disqus

For you, there is adulthood.

+1 for "tip of the douche-berg." I'd also like to pledge $5 for advance access to your next witticism.

Is he?

You dodged a bullet there. The logical conclusion would have been to say "if they were any more vanilla, they'd have been born in pods." But then Donald Sutherland would show up and start shrieking and pointing and that would be the end of you.

I'm confused. In the context of your comment, you make it sound like "two-hour-long chase scene" is a bad thing.

I see what you did there.

I would attend one of these shows if that was actually David Tennant in the back there.

… or "neighbor" (see Commandment 10).

The King James edition of the Bible self-servingly edited out the actual first commandment, which was "Don't talk about the commandments."

Doesn't that rule out the entire New Testament? Discuss.
