Perfection? I dunno, SPOILERS: I'd have liked a Dark Avatar design that didn't make me giggle uncontrollably. Same with Big Blue Korra. That just looked SILLY.

Oh, that reveal was inevitable.
Further unspecific spoilers: The cameo that established the mist was the best used in the series so far.
"There's no beginning on a wheel" is usually where that thinking goes.
Her poor wolf seal is going to be so mad she went and got a flying dragon phoenix.
You seen Korra vs Tarrlok lately? It is to the S2 finale what a knife fight is to boxing match.
We also saw a happy little rotted corpse in this one.
Ozai was always more of a plot device or a symbol. Azula and Zuko were the ground level villains and they had many subtleties.
For what it's worth, I think Amon and Tarrlok did complexity much better than Ozai did, so Unalaq really is the first thin Korra villain I can think of.
Yes, turn it upside down exactly.
I hope he's a good listener because that bird likes to chirp.
I dunno, people (who weren't me) were speculating he was working for Spirit Satan back at the premiere. They even guessed he was trying to open the portals to free him. Even with that theory in the back of my mind he's been inconsistent.
With this reveal now, though, Unalaq HAS to be a dupe. If he knows what Vaatu is,…
I like how they're playing Vaatu (sp?) and the civil war. Sure, he's the embodiment of evil and chaos, etc., but Wan can still beat him after a tough bout. But stopping all the conflict people cause on their own? Impossible.
Discount? This is Fiacci!
I thought the clunkiness of the dialogue was intentional. Made it seem more like a old, distilled myth. The slapstick/comic relief mixed in kinda muddied that tone, though. You can do funny mythmaking but it seemed more like normal Avatar humor in a different setting.
Well, yes. I'd have liked it if her lack of curiosity last season prompted her to become more inquisitive this season. When the questions were finally asked, the answers paid off hugely. I'd also have liked it if, after finding out how important Amon's origin was to his motives, capabilities and eventual defeat, she…
I think that was covered alright in this episode, at least for firebending. They had bending, but it was blunt force, punch-a-fireball style. Wan studied dragons and what-not and figured out a more sophisticated way to do it. The Badger Mole thing is presumably also the difference between just throwing around rocks…
They definitely flubbed it, getting Korra to this point. I was ready to love or hate the amnesia thing but it really was just a nudge of the plot. In retrospect the worse writing was in the earlier episodes for failing to give her this push anyway.
The reveals also would've hit a lot harder if Korra was still mostly…
He was working on his back-up plan: an army of militant lemurs and baby bison.
"Expulsion from the city" is a pretty big repercussion. It would've been a straight-up death sentence without the fire, which he had to beg to keep (it wasn't part of the original deal). They also didn't know there were other cities; Wan was basically being kicked out of humanity for his crimes.
They would also have to figure out that whole reincarnation thing from scratch. "Hey, you're a lot like that Wan fella from way back!"
