Well yeah it always is a forced issue. For me, there's tension because you know that this is another thing that Emily is going to hold over Lorelai's head.

I've always really liked Secrets and Loans. It's a conflict that I can relate to being raised by a single mother. A financial emergency that Mom can't handle. But she's proud and wants you to keep your mouth shut about it even though there are people in your lives who can help you.
It's also refreshing to see Lorelai…
Jess was a straight up, ungrateful asshole to EVERYONE who tried to make him feel at home in Stars Hollow. He was a smug, arrogant, and ignorant brat to Lorelai, Luke, basically every character viewers had begun to know and love from the first season.
I was always really fascinated by the character of Mia. I wish she had been introduced in season 1 and had remained throughout the show. Not in every episode and not given too much screentime. But I feel like Lorelai would have done well to have had an adult mentor figure in her life like Mia appears to have been for…
Well it was only a matter of time…
One of the most iconic scenes of this series happens in this episode. Lorelai and Rory running across town to tell each other their good news and being so excited to share that they're talking over one another. Perfectly sums up the feel of the show and the relationship between the two main characters.
I don't remember him making a comment about his parents "hooking up" so to speak. I remember him saying that he wanted them to have a castle in FTL and mentioned something about them going on a date.
But glad to see someone agrees with me about the whole "the Once writers are Anti-Adoption" thing being BS.
Trying to convince your child (and everyone they know) that they're crazy will do more than just "fray the relationship" it's an abuse of trust and that's not going to be resolved by a simple apology. Also, she's a mentally unstable mass-murderer. I don't care how many presents you buy or how big your house is, a…

Well as The Parent Trap is one of my favorite movies, I beg to differ. Also- I can't help it- I ship SwanThief *hides behind barricade*. And I really, truly don't understand where the Henry-hate comes from. How exactly is this kid "a little shit" for not wanting to be around his mentally unstable, mass-murdering,…
Still hate Tamara and Greg, still don't understand why the hell there's a failsafe built into the curse, still don't understand why the Charmings want to help a woman who has been ACTIVELY TRYING TO KILL THEM for 40-ish years
But other than that, this one was fun. I'm excited to see more of Neverland and I have a…
I really liked this one. I don't know if it's just me but I like Henry and I don't think Jared Gilmore is that bad of an actor. So I really liked the Henry/Emma scenes this episode (that's right Emma it's every parent's job to teach their kids the proper way to do a B&E). I also really like Badass Survivalist Snow…
I just love the talk between Richard and Lorelai in Christopher Returns especially:
"I had to tell my friends that my only daughter was pregnant and leaving school. And then you run away and treat us as lepers, your mother couldn't get out of bed for a month! Did you know that?"
I really appreciate when the series…
"Family-Friendly" skinning
I can totally see them deciding that, yes they do love each other and yes, they want to be together, but that they're not ready to be married. Then they decide to have the reception anyway because it's already paid for.
You have a good point. Aside from Barney's immaturity what makes me think that they won't get married is 1) Ted saying "this is the story of a wedding that went horribly wrong" in the flash forward and 2) Robin and Barney's hands are both hidden whenever the show has done a flash forward in seasons 7 and 8. Why would…
Calling it now: Barney and Robin do not get married. Or they do but sometime "a little ways down the road" and not at their actual May 2013 wedding. If they do, I call BS cuz there's no way Barney's gonna be totally ready to be married at the rate he's going.
Yeah but they're not even slightly disheveled. No, cuts/scrapes/bruises, immaculate hair, and those clothes are not even wrinkled. That little girl's eating that candy like, "Eh, it's just the end of the world. Nbd."
These people are pretty well-dressed to be in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse. What-did they hit up Macy's on the way back from Twinkie-hunting?
I laughed a lot during this episode so I can at least say it was entertaining. I do find the resolution of the whole Barney-Robin-Playbook thing disturbing. But I think the writers are writing Barney and Robin's relationship the same way that they write Barney and Robin, just the right mix of awkward/uncomfortable and…
