Absolutely loved this episode—both parts! I especially liked the part about Ted and Robin climbing out of their "pits" and moving on with their lives. And a jinx-sweared Barney? Hilarious!

As far as the whole "Robin being shallow and not dealing with any feelings of regret/sadness, etc." I'd like to argue that that was kind of the (implicit?) point of the episode. Robin was being a superficial, crazy, stalker-bitch who was flat-out refusing to deal with any of the sources of her extreme emotions,
