I am strangely excited to see a Corner Gas mention here. I had to special order the box set from Canada because you can't find that show anywhere!

Yep. And lesbian for that matter. (Mad Men was guilty of this as well…)

1. Reading Tom and Lorenzo's reviews of Mad Men's costumes has be looking at this show with way too critical an eye. Am I the only one? Because I'm struck with how contemporary a lot of the outfits are. (Though to be fair, I have this same problem with The Americans and I actually remember living through that.)

I found it horrifying, personally. He's clearly a guy that holds onto a lot of rage and that showed you exactly how much rage he had pent up. When he shot Jimmy you can tell exactly how much it bothers him to be cast aside and disrespected. He's flat out frightening.

I was skeptical til Nights in Balygran. He's "know your audience" speech is what cemented my faith in him as Nucky and really, of the show. Nucky's ability to move effortlessly between groups takes talent, and I can buy that a bug eyed put polished guy such as himself could pull it off back in those days.

Hacky AND assumes the audience will figure this out without needless expository dialogue saying exactly that. (ha) Welcome to the third season of a Showtime show…

The more I think about Saul's words to Fara, the more annoyed I get. Saul gets this distinction. I don't buy this side of him.

1. I thought it was weird that Julia showed up with teachers…but my guess was Gillian was wandering around the school and someone called her to make sure she'd be able to pick Tommy up. Great, horrifying shot of Gillian there from Tommy's perspective looking straight up like a monster.

If anything this is what bugged me about this episode. It was clear from the beginning this was about his ego. Having Walt and Gretchen show up on TV was a bit too…on the nose for this show.

Well, Todd is fucking Meth Damon…

Jeff Daniels didn't even deserve a nomination.

My theory is it was meant to be a contrast: the respect Todd has for Walter vs. the way he's treating the rat Jesse. Todd is doubly pissed off because you know, he gave Jesse ice cream. Todd's so polite with his brutality.

My guess he called Hank's old number or one that the general public wouldn't know.

Pretty awesome prize. Though I had to roll my eyes at the story behind the charity. If AP's wife wants to have an anti-bullying charity, cool. But I do not believe for one second anyone who looks like her was ever bullied.

Also, I can't be the only one who laughs at everything Angel says, can I? He always sounds so seriously despite pretty much everything he says being stupid.

So…the guy pulls someone from the passenger seat, dumps her there then….walks away? Doesn't look for the driver? No exposition such as "You okay? I'll call 911!" to at least acknowledge the absurdity?

You know what they say.

And she CAN'T take care of herself.

Belly button fucking is the symbol of love.
