I also like the ones where people just take an obvious costume and take a random absurdist/hacky turn with it—once on Conan they proposed the costume "Space Jesus" which as you might guess was a guy with the Jesus beard and sandals and a spacesuit, which was pretty great. Or one could just be like "Fat Sarah Palin"…

I enjoy costumes based on puns or sayings—last year, I did something easy and pinned a bunch of Smarties to my pants, making me Smartie-pants. It was an ok costume to wear to a party because I could offer them to people as a treat, but it got a little odd when a drunk Russian dude kept pulling…

was when he was pulled from a car crash by Werner Herzog, who witnessed the crash. I thought it was kind of hot that Joaquin came to after a traumatic accident, looked up and recognized Herzog on sight.
