"While You Were Sleeping", part of Bullock's famed "Public Transportation" trilogy.  In all honesty, while it may not be the greatest movie, it's not bad, and it does contain maybe the greatest establishing shot of all time: kid riding a bike down a sidewalk in winter past the house being established in the shot-

I suspect it's nearing time for O'Neal's vacation.  It seems like (though I could be imagining it) his Newswire posts take a turn for the bizarre shortly before he takes a bit of time off (possibly forced?).

I wondered that myself, as well….so much so that my first act after reading the article was: CTRL + F, "verb", Enter.

I feel absolutely stupid for having never caught that.  My wife and I have watched the series a couple of times now, and we wind up getting so caught up in individual episodes that we've never pieced that together, and haven't been able to figure out what prompted the attack.  When we couldn't find a

"The Shepard's Tale", if you haven't read it, is well worth tracking down.  Yeah, I'd have preferred to see all of that laced throughout an entire season (though that seems like something that could have been better used as a season 3 story, while we're dreaming), but it's an excellent read none-the-less.

Good god, I wish somebody at Disney actually had the sense of humor to have actually said that in their statement.

As a total swing away from the "Batman & Robin"s that had become standard by that point, sure- it was a pretty groundbreaking comic book movie, I suppose.  And it was a comic that hadn't been around for decades, so the story seemed fairly fresh, I guess.
