Frankly, I'd watch anything over I Love Lucy.  Lucy's a decent show, sure, but it is surely the worst to ever achieve "classic" status. Lots of classic bits, but those scenes hardly require the rest of the episode to justify their existence.  Basically some great sketches surrounded by 10-15 minutes of fluff.

I honestly can't even remember which album it's on.  Very few of his albums do I listen to all the way through anymore.  Pretty much, anymore I'll buy the newest album, listen to it a few times to get a good chuckle from the parodies, and then it just becomes "that thing with a couple of good originals and a polka on

Would anyone ever possibly consider Weird Al's "Genius In France" as a possible gateway?  I have no idea how well it would actually work as one, but I have been known to put it on when I'm in the mood for Zappa but don't have time for a full album.  Just thought it merited a mention here.

Pretty much, yeah- it's all about how he's saying goodbye to all his "humanistic" shit, and giving his life totally to Jesus, and everything's going to be so much better now.  So, yeah: smug and douchey just about sums it up.

I do have to say, Five Iron Frenzy have consistently put on the best shows I've ever seen, and had one of the greatest pranks I was ever witness to.

On snare, Bolero is WAY worse than P&C.  With the latter, you can usually get away with a couple of ad-libs, and your conductor won't say much, plus you've got a couple of rolls you can toss in, and some dynamics.  Bolero, on the other hand, pretty much requires that you don't alter a single stroke.  On the other

The "Cheap Thrills" comp was my gateway.  From there, I springboarded to "Sheik" and "Joe's" (given that the two songs that made the biggest impression on me on that comp were "Bobby Brown" and "Catholic Girls").  I also had to check out "Joe's", thanks to my long-time status as a Kansas fan, and their alleged

Or, perhaps, a stairway of shit: Next week features Paul Stanley ripping apart a song he hates, followed by the writer of that song, talking about a song he hates, and so on.
