The movie's kinda shit, but he was pretty impressive in Noriega.

So, did anybody else here ever make it through the whole shebang by narrating a terrible Dragnet parody while playing "Recessional"?

"Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows" will forever be linked, in my mind, to Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.

I was in high school when this song came out. I remember parsing the lyrics, and being pretty amazed by them at the time. Several times I had a conversation that went something like:

No article on Blues Traveler is complete without a mention of his detailed reasoning for losing weight (as expressed on Behind The Music). Great song, yes. But, rapid-fire delivery? I'm thinking of the bridge, which, vocally, is just solid quarter-notes (up until that final 3-measure long scream). I'm not sure I'd call it "rapid-fire", but is is damn-near impossible to squeeze a breath in there so you don't pass out mid-phrase.

I somehow always got stuck on bass drum for "Pomp". Probably the best moment of my high school graduation was when I looked back at the percussion section while walking up to the stage, and sophomore on bass drum mouthed to me "sooooo……boooooorrrring".

To be fair, Ray of Light was a pretty fucking fantastic album. Even as a straight, married man, I will admit that I bought and loved the shit out of that record. She probably did make a huge mistake by stepping away from pop music and trying to get back into dance.

I can't recall which one it was (but I know it was, plot-wise, a "Signs"/"The Ring" parody), but I remember that it was much better than it really should have been. It still wasn't very good, but it was better than it should have been.
