I may have made this point before, but it seems to be gone if I did: Signals has "Subdivisions", "New World Man", and "Analog Kid": 3 tracks I love…but the rest of the album gets completely ignored by me.  Similarly, Power Windows has only one track that consistently made it onto my all-Rush mix tapes: "The Manhattan

If I recall, I don't think even Strummer counted it as a real Clash album.

Vapor Trails was probably the Rush album I had the hardest time getting into, and that's saying something as a long-time fan.  I bought the album the day it came out, and tried listening, but really couldn't find anything outside of "One Little Victory" to grab ahold of.  It wasn't until I saw them on the accompanying

No.  However, a playlist made by a 17-year old girl on a site that brings in mostly late 20s-30s men?  Dear god in heaven, you've found the very definition of the term "overlap".

My high school mix tape would probably just be Weezer's blue album on one side, Queen's "A Night At The Opera" on the other.  'Cause that's pretty much all I listened to.  At least until I simultaneously discovered depression and Pink Floyd's "The Wall".

NO SPOILERS!!  I seriously just downloaded that last week, because I've never seen it.  I've been trying to work up the courage to sit down and watch it.

There's not enough likes in the world for that exchange, @avclub-6ddbcfc5780466b4939637df65b65c3d:disqus & @avclub-5ad0d54163b227a02d91a3d3717ad649:disqus .  Well played, both of you.

To be fair, "Roll The Bones" is the worst track on that album.  But it's still pretty damn good, I think.  And it raises a few eyebrows/rolls some eyes from the kids when I respond to their "Why are we here"s (such as when we're out paying bills  or somesuch) with "Because we're here…roll the bones."

That's my problem: I love "Subdivisions", "New World Man", and "The Analog Kid" so much, but the rest of the album is just sort of "meh".  Power Windows is even worse: the only song on there that I love (and routinely made it onto my all-Rush mixtapes) was "The Manhattan Project".

Not sure I can definitely say RTB is the best, but it's certainly the one I go to most often.  (God, I wish they'd just give us a fucking good remaster where the bass doesn't sound so thin.)

That whole fucking album (by which I mean the so-called "Wedding Album") is fantastic.  I can't think of many one-two punches stronger than "Too Much Information"/"Ordinary World".

Was most of that album terrible?  Fuck yes.  But, on the other hand, Lou Reed has said that their version of "Perfect Day" is, in his mind, the definitive version.
