Second half of Fellowship is the best, but Return of the King is the best complete movie. And for the record, the book has about three times as many "endings" as the movie.

While I think Brandon's age had something to do with his outburst I don't think that make him any less responsible/producers more responsible. I'm younger than that and perfectly capable of taking responsibility for my behavior. And I have people close to me with very serious mental problems that I can say the same

No physical violence no. This isn't Big Brother or Real World.

Is it the great "Colton talks his entire tribe into giving up immunity because he's racist" AKA The Jeff Probst Survivor Seminar on the Sensitive Subject of Race

Hey squirrely boy! Swing batter, batter, batter!

So obligatory speculation thread: is there any way the twist next episode isn't a tribe swap? Thought on how it goes down? My guess is we get 4 faves and 3 fans on each tribe and Andrea and Corinne end up on the same tribe- that rivalry will come to a head before the merge, and my guess is that Corinne gets separated

Agreed. I gave it an A-. If I didn't feel slightly guilty about the exploitation/psychological issues I would give this an A, without a doubt.

I only got a 4. I'm keeping my distance from this conversation.

I'm guessing they'll play the immunity challenge next episode, since it looks like it was something that really required effort to construct

Brandon and Philip owners are surely rejoicing that we never worked out a subjective point system because I think they'd be in the negatives by now and I'm not sure how you grade Brandon's elimination

Well, it was very much not a normal episode (there was literally no strategy talk the entire episode) so I would give people who didn't like it the benefit of the doubt. I agree though. I think Survivor is at its best when it's showing us something that can only happen out there and that we couldn't imagine happening.

I gotta admit that I was entertained. But I also don't have kids. And I'm a horrible person.

Been waiting two hours for this review to come up just so I could say this:

The episode where Colton talked his tribe into going to Tribal Council and voting out Bill because Colton is racist was legitimately stellar, in an horrifyingly compelling I-can't-stop-watching sort of way. The rest of the season was aggressively mediocre and/or infested with the festering stench of Colton's awfulness

Jon Dalton does not belong on the list you just described. He may be an absolutely shitty excuse for a human being but in terms of Survivor he won a free pass for life the minute Thunder Dan jogged down that beach to tell him that his grandma died.

To clarify @avclub-d5ec6a59e944d4fba084a10df9701123:disqus he's Russell's brother not Brandon's, meaning he should be old enough to solve sober disputes without punching people

@JudgeReinhold:disqus As I recall Richard was trying to get in her head during a challenge and Sue reacted very strongly to him rubbing up against her (they were on a balance beam). She felt she'd somehow been unfaithful to her husband or something, I never entirely understood what her major issue was. Not a nice move

I'm a big apologist for Amazon, it's a great classic season and watching Rob Cesternino is like taking a mastercourse in how to play Survivor. China and Tocantins are great combinations of old school character building and newer emphasis on strategy and gameplay (although how much you like Tocantins is really

Cirie would kick ass in front of the jury. She's articulate and likeable. Traditionally players who give strong, self-aware confessionals have done well in front of the jury. Older women also do very well (like Denise and Lisa Whelchel last season). I'm not sure if she could win though, because Parvati and Amanda had

I kinda like Reynold as a player (he's the right combination of savvy and stupid that makes for some great television) but as a person he definitely irks me.
