Fucking yes.  That Blair Witch Project scene where the baby is scratching at the tent and the sounds are like indescribable muttering and growling and they run into the night and she screams "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!?!!?" Damn.  Love it.

That scene is so incredibly awesome and horrifying.  The digital effects on her face are just grotesque and perfect.

Stray bullet?  He just downright shoots her on purpose.

Entroducing is totally the shit.  Loved it then and love it now.

Beautiful girl, she's a beautiful girl.

I feel like this sounds really amateurish.  I used to do tech support at a music software company, and sometimes customers would send us files that they had recorded that were having problems, and they really actually sounded a lot like this.

160 kbps you could probably hear, but I almost guarantee that in a comparison between 320 kbps (mp3 or m4a, even) vs uncompressed CD quality audio, you would not be able to tell them apart with any consistency.

You know, the response to that would be that if you can't pay for the music, you shouldn't be able to listen to it when you choose, the same way if you can't pay for a car, you shouldn't be able to own it and drive it when you choose.

A.V. Club, can you tweak your general protocol for embedded video to allow us to watch these Youtube clips in fullscreen mode directly from the article's page?  It's great to check out the video while reading about it, but it gets annoying to have to open up a new "watch on Youtube" tab every time you want to watch

Though that is really funny.

Y'all are a bunch of Negative Nellies.  I am glad that Pearl Jam is still out there making music.  Even if I'm not a regular fan nowadays, it makes me really happy.  And they're excellent live.

Yes!  Hum!  You guys kick ass.  Come play NYC!

Seriously.  Fix that shit.

HUM??!?!
Zounds. That's totally cool. I won't be able to make it, but hearing that they are playing shows is a good thing.

Nice series!
I dig these videos. But the lyrics to that "Air Arizona" song have to be perhaps the most turrible, meaningless garbage I've ever heard. And I'm not necessarily picky about lyrics; if the song is actually about nothing, but the lyrics are a bit vague and kinda alright enough to obscure that, I'm fine.

But to really do it right, you have to record the words, flip them backwards, record yourself sounding out the backwards version, and then flip that backwards.

Pork chop sandwiches!
You're not cookin'.

I can't believe
no one has mentioned Yes's "Heart of the Sunrise" in Buffalo '66. That's a perfect use of a pre-existing song in film.

He does! He has transformed fully into an old man. And he's only like 45!
