I actually got a lecture on it from a Film professor. That always helps with any of the films we're watching for the course; they even got me to appreciate Black Swan, even though I despise ballet, representations of self-mutilation and scary mirrors. (I love Tschaikovsky, though)

I do wonder about the logistics of those tapes. Does he send them out every day? If it's more of a log than the momentary status report it appears to be, and he takes the tapes back to D.C. with him when the investigation is over, what's the point in addressing his secretary by name?
