I believe that that would be the fault of The Matrix, LD.

@ Cliffy and Yeah, OK — I am basically in 100% agreement with Cliffy. It's weird; Todd and I generally like the same shows but for completely opposite reasons. I watch comedies to laugh; if I want character development, I'll watch a drama. That airboat ep was pretty bad, IMO. Who gives a shit if Archer's fear were…
With all seriousness, can I ask why, Rip? You hate the movie but you'll spend approx. $15 (3D pricing, I assume) and 2+hours of your life to sit through it again? For what reason exactly?
@ Bluemoon — Starbreeze Studios are allegedly working on a new game in the Syndicate series so hopefully those days of playing a corporate assassin are about to come back.
Actually, I think the only substitutions I'd find acceptable would be "shitty", "unpleasant", "unwatchable" or "obese".
Quintessential
Wait…doesn't "quintessential" connote that he's kind of good at playing those roles?
Tim and Daisy
I don't want to get too much into this as it kind of verges on spoiler territory for S2, but I really, really, really don't think a romantic pairing between T&D would work out in the long run. It all sounds nice in theory, and they have great chemistry together, but I think some of the events of the…
@ Sterling — I couldn't get into MPP — or any Animal Collective — until I got dragged to one of their live shows. After about half an hour, everything totally clicked. I've loved that album ever since.
@ Murray — I don't think anyone was saying that you "have to" listen to challenging music. I think that poster was simply saying that if you don't go that far outside the conventional comfort zone, this idea of something growing on you after initial doubts or discomforts will be a foreign one.
@ Tim Leider: The Academy always considers sequels to be adaptations of an earlier work. It's just not usually an issue cause stuff like Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son doesn't get nominated for Best Screenplay.
Brie has always reminded me of Isabella Soprano. I think she'd make a fine doppelganger.
I've probably read the original Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy at least 24 times before.
"which hadn't been done before"???
Did Apatow (and Stiller) somehow completely miss the existence of the movie Singles? Cause that movie came out 4 years before Cable Guy and its soundtrack is vastly more "true grunge". I'm looking at the track list for TCG and I'm seeing Cracker, Cypress Hill and Primitive Radio…
Sellers was a piece-of-shit out-of-control maniac for pretty much his entire life, E. Buzz. Love his work, but reading his biography (Mr Strangelove) was quite an eye-opener.
I had a big issue with the steakhouse thing too. I thought pretty much everyone in downstate Illinois and Indiana was in agreement that the best steakhouse around is The Beef House in Covington, IN. Having eaten at The Beef House several times, I can't imagine that it wouldn't be Ron's favorite place in the world.
I was just reading that — and didn't realize that "The Bridge of Spies" was an actual thing. I just thought they were making a bad joke on Venice's Bridge of Sighs.
Yeah, right
Like Kanye fucks women…
@ Lobs — "There was a Sonic Youth or Pavement article where the "journalist" difn't have the band's metaphorical penis in their mouth the entire time? When did that ever happen?"
Where did I say Timberlake was bad, asshole?
Timberlake?
Weird. I thought that was James Urbaniak in the still. Was mildly excited for a moment or two.
