@ That guy — BJM was over a decade ago. So, yeah, hasn't been in anything worth watching in years.

Hulu Plus confuses me because I still watch all the stuff I used to watch on Hulu, and I don't have to pay for any of it. What exactly is the benefit of Hulu Plus when you can get the new 30 Rocks, Communities, etc., for free as well as all the eps of Peep Show and The Office UK?

@ Diablo — Considering that these days anyone with a modicum of know-how can set-up a virtual home studio for less than $5K, it means that no one will or should be paying $100K to record an album anymore.

"Any proper justification of her acting abilities is easily thwarted by her SNL appearance"

As awesome as a del Toro AtMoM would probably be, I don't think there's a chance in hell that anyone's going to give him the $100M+ he'll need to properly make a hard-R horror/fantasy film.

Spoilers?
I find it odd that your editor includes a spoiler warning for a film that came out in 2009 but didn't include a spoiler warning earlier in the paragraph for the film that is less than a week old. Odd…

I was wondering about the "making your own schedule" bit too. Shades of Rabin's jellybeans/pills 30 Rock review…

You're all nuts!

Is the final dance sequence set to Lovefool by The Cardigans?

I don't think it's just that he was 15 playing a 15 year old, MTPC.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that hates that new Gawker layout. I used to drop in on it and Kotaku fairly regularly during dead spots at work, but I've basically stopped now.

I don't see how neo-noirs "by nature always recall the past" or how they are always self-consciously doing so — which kind of makes that intro a little confusing.

Always?

Is that a calico-colored dildo racking the Dracula-theater-major cat?

I'm pretty sure Beck had a DJ on the Odelay tour.

"Rolling" by Soul Coughing? You're right. That is a pretty good tune.

It's still too soon. These revivals mostly work on a 20-year cycle. I'll almost guarantee that there will be a nu-metal revival circa 2018/2019. The bands will be led by 22-25 year olds who will remember hearing LB and Korn on their parents' car radios and will actually remember it fondly as it will dredge up all

I'm predicting that the Spielberg/Abrams match-up will be pretty awesome for the first 110 minutes, but the ending will be soul-crushingly bad and disappointing.

I would probably be strangely OK with that…

OK — so I've never really been able to get into this show. I've given it several chances (mainly due to all the cheerleading for it on this site), and, while I think that it's certainly improved from what it started it out as, I still don't quite get it (or all the love) and I think that maybe the representation of
