"Natalie Portman plays an associate at a New York law firm who develops a crush on married partner Scott Cohen—a crush that turns into an affair, which leads to Portman getting pregnant and Cohen divorcing his wife (Lisa Kudrow)."

JLD is a multi-multi-millionaire heiress. She was rolling around in money before Seinfeld AND SNL. I assume this is the reason she never oversaturated herself and only shows up in Curb, 30 Rock, Arrested and the like. As CC noted, she has standards — likely because she can afford to.

I didn't know they were making a movie of Meeting Evil! I used to love me some Thomas Berger back in the day. Wonder how it holds up…

@ L.R. — Really? Not for the recent 60 Minutes where it was shown that she has that hyper-super-memory thing?

I asked my gf this very question when this guy started becoming popular. She informed me that girls between the ages of 13 and 16 tend to go for very non-threatening, androgynous looking guys — which is allegedly why she saw Titanic in the theater 5 times when she was 15. Apparently, Leo had the same thing going on as

I thought the whole point of buffets was that, rather than spending $10 and getting one entire order of beef w/broccoli, you could spend $10 and get a little beef w/broccoli, a little kung pao chicken, a little chicken w/cashew, an egg roll and some really unusually flavored Jell-O. It's all about the variety. (Or,

I saw this claim upthread a bit, just looked in two different dictionaries, and Sean used the word perfectly correctly. The second definition in both dictionaries was "lack of interest". So I'm not sure what your issue is…

I agree with nearly everything you said, Cliffy.

Or like Pynchon's National Book Award acceptance speech and "appearance"…

They can call themselves "Hell Hath No Fury".

I don't know about Reservoir Dogs, but I think they said he was a real asshole on the commentary tracks on The Simpsons (the Don Brodka ep).

Someone very close to me died kind of unexpectedly (in my presence) when I was 12. I used to think it didn't have that big of an effect on me, but now that I'm a bit older and I look back on the 20 years that have passed since, I can see pretty clearly that that moment has colored most — if not all — of my adolescence

Weird…I just nearly ran into Kelsey Grammer outside of my office about half an hour ago while I was out getting lunch. He is filming a movie in the area. IMDB informs me that said movie also features Christina Hendricks and Olivia Munn and I'm wondering why, oh why, couldn't I have run into one of them

All of you upset that Nolan didn't get a Best Director nom should look a little more closely at the list of acting noms. Notice how none of Inception's actors were nominated for anything? That's why Nolan wasn't nommed either. The task of directing is all about the acting and there weren't really any distinguishing

In what universe is the American version of the show more popular? It's seasonal ratings average has never even cracked the Top 50 Shows of any given year.

I worked on a movie with Kevin Hart 7 or 8 years ago and thought that he was going to be the next Chris Rock. He was hilarious, constantly had the cast and crew breaking up with laughter and was a pretty friendly guy to boot.

Anyone seen these guys live?
I'm considering going to see them tomorrow night; wondering if it's worth the time/money. (To be fair, though, it's only $10 so it's not like it would break me or anything…)

@ Robuttnik — An obsession with Twitter followings and reality show outcomes pretty much assures that he will find resounding success here in America. That seems to be most of what Joe America is obsessed with too.

@ Conor — I just sort of assumed she was leaning on him like that cause she had done a bunch of H earlier in the evening…

If "working the blowtorch for Honeybaked Ham" isn't a euphemism, it really, really, really should be.
