I love it when people try to deflect accusations of misogyny by criticizing a woman's appearance!

@ Superdeformed — I also think Terriers was pretty great, but Freaks and Geeks has to take the prize for Best First&Only Season Show.
I haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm curious as to whether they explained the actual mermaid/manatee thing on the show as I just learned about it a few weeks ago. (Thanks, Stephen Fry!)
Yeah, that was me.
I'm pretty sure that PTA wouldn't be able to capture what's great about Pynchon — particularly in the case of Inherent Vice.
It was very Lebowski, Yankee.
I did a pretty lengthy paper on this film when I was in college, and the video store I rented from only had the Moroder scored version at the time. I barely made it through my initial viewing with the Moroder score so for my second and third viewings I just attempted to make my own soundtrack.
@ Ruddy Ruddy — It was my birthday too. Senior year of high school. I just remember coming downstairs that morning and my mom telling me that he had shot himself. I wasn't a huge Nirvana fan, but I liked them and she wanted to make sure I heard about it in a "normal" way (ie not by randomly flipping through the…
My initial thoughts on a GB3 cast:
Email Subject
I didn't realize there was a special subject we were supposed to use in our email. I sent mine in simply with the title "Terriers" and asked to them to please keep the show.
It's not so much about knowing what goes where as knowing as much as the fact that you evidently didn't know that:
Warfreak is correct.
You've gotta be joking, right, HDB?
Who is this movie for exactly?
This is going to have to be marketed almost exclusively towards people too young to remember BTVS.
A Ripper series would be set in the 60s or 70s though as it's young Giles. I'd think they could find some young Brit to play the role that wouldn't be that weird.
"Whit Anderson"?
Is he Wes Anderson's non-union, Mormon equivalent???
I think there's probably more overlap between the Community and AI audiences than any of you would like to think.
My guess: Akerman is fully aware that she's a bad actress who is basically getting lots of roles because she's attractive and willing to get naked on screen. So, she's trying to make as much money as possible right now before it all goes away.
@ Ron Swanson — I don't want to throw cold water on you or the show, but I don't think that that indicates storytelling foresight. It's far, far more likely that the next episodes were written by the time Aerodynamics of Gender went to post so they added that stuff to the graphics as a nice little Easter egg.
While we're speaking of short-lived animations, I'd really like to see another season of The Oblongs. That show was delightfully twisted.
