The Sub shot in The Incident was really, really bad.

I thought the twist in Sixth Sense was that that was Bruce Willis wearing a hair-piece??!?!?
I'm not a fan of the sideways stuff, but I did find one aspect of this ep's sideways world interesting. So far, we've been seeing that events that took place in the "real" universe seem to have also happened in the "sideways" universe. (Or, if not the events themselves, the outcome has been the same.) That is,…
Spoilers? I read an interview with the guy who plays Dogen last week, and we said his character has been on-Island for about 20 years, he is from Japan and he has come there to study something. (He also said that the something he is studying will be revealed before the end.)
On the subject of free will — after the conversation between Dogen, Hurley and Jacob (where Jacob tells Hurley to tell Dogen that he has every right to be there because he's a candidate), I'm beginning to suspect that the only people on the Island who DO have free will are the Candidates. Everyone else can be pushed…
Actually, reading a bit more of these comments and doing some research, I'm wondering if O'Hara is actually considered a "Beat poet". When I was introduced to his work in college, he was referred to as such (IIRC); however, it seems now that he might have simply been New York School — which seems to highly overlap…
I can't believe that in all this talk of Beat poets, no one's brought up Frank O'Hara yet. To my mind, he was far and away the greatest of that generation of poets/writers — and died far too young.
And don't forget his role as Peter Ian Staker (PISsTaker) in Hot Fuzz!
@ IM — Just go watch Blue Velvet again. Lynch himself has called it The Hardy Boys Go To Hell.
I read this book several years ago and I'm still pissed off about that ending.
Not convinced…
The book — particularly the ending — was appallingly bad. (And they apparently didn't change it.)
I don't find it that surprising, Tiger. I'd say about 90% of the so-called "Christians" I've met haven't ever read the thing (outside of one of the Gospels and a few other assorted bits).
Well, Jacob's already dead so it doesn't seem likely, probable or plausible that the kid is warning/reminding him not to kill Jacob. It also seems unlikely that he's telling him that Jacob "can't" be killed. We've seen Jacob's ghost who stated quite simply, plainly and clearly that he was dead.
Skeletons and Stones
Kind of an out-there theory, but I was reminded of the Adam & Eve skeletons and their white and black stones tonight when Fakob and Sawyer went to the cliff and Fakob chucked the white stone from the scale out into the ocean.
She also mentioned something about having to lug Locke's body to the Foot to show Richard et al. Perhaps Smokey was only locked-into Locke's body once they had shown the Others exactly what form he had taken? Dunno…that whole thing sort of bothered me too.
Yeah, he was pretty obviously referring to Sawyer.
You can't just blame Coco. Thurston and Kim have been stated that they're fans of Gossip Girl too.
Cheers is still awesome. One of my favorites when I was growing up and I rewatched the whole thing a summer or two ago.
You don't think the major studios have noticed her?
