If watching Lake Placid 3 more than once is a sign of intellectual depth, what does it mean when you've watched all of the sequels more than once? I'M A SUPER GENIUS!

I'm rewatching this now and was similarly confused about the heads, although until now I hadn't really narrowed the list down to any particular people. I guess having them wrapped up in a flag, such as the one that just so happened to start us off flapping around in front of the camera, helps it all make more sense.

All's I can say is 1) I'll be seeing this on Saturday probably, and 2) why can't DC manage to pull off Marvel's ability to seemingly put out okay-to-very-good movies with almost no effort? Now I guess I can go from "I hope Suicide Squad can perform a lot better with critics than BvS did" to "I hope Justice League (or

Better yet, one using Muriel's nephew Fred.

It's times like this that I'm happy I tend to ignore Marvel events. If I followed them like I've been willing to follow most/all of DC's major events over the past few years, I'd end up buried in ongoing tie-ins and the ridiculous number of companion miniseries they inevitably put out roughly a month in.

This is one instance where changing things around from the comics makes me just shrug and continue patiently waiting to see the movie. It at least sounds more enjoyable than, say, having Jimmy Olsen shot in the head.

That sounds familiar! As soon as I saw some news for some of the new stuff, I immediately realized I'm doomed for roughly the first half of 2017 or so. At least I might force myself to shift more focus onto DC's whatsits and stop ordering random crap out of the back of Previews.

I didn't even think about that being her assuming it was. Or did he say her name? Although I suppose there's no reason for it not to be.

I'm still sad we aren't getting Accurate Odin Quincannon, but they've done a decent job of building up the TV version. He gets vaguely humanized, AND remains a horrible, horrible person!

I'm trying to finish up Xenoblade Chronicles X. I felt like I'd be able to give it up without totally finishing it, i.e. clearing all map sections 100% and finishing all missions if any turned out to be tougher than I wanted to deal with. Mostly thanks to that one segment in Noctilum that requires you to defeat

I feel guilty when I treat an episode of this like it didn't do nearly enough in the action department. I guess I'm just afraid it'll pull a TWD and slow to a crawl and stay there, although thankfully it's managing to flow fairly well so far. Plus, I did appreciate watching Jesse get more and more screwy as Eugene's

I'd recommend it, although I've only seen maybe the first seven episodes or so. Something feels off about it to me, though. I think I managed to narrow it down to the fact that I'm used to watching a lot of shows that tend to lean heavily on the Something of the Week format while peppering in varying amounts of longer

I do! Although to be fair, they have some good stuff now, although I don't watch much of it. Weirdly, to me, I feel like I can add "remember when they aired new original movies every Saturday night" to the list of things that don't seem to be the case anymore. Not that the movies tended to be good, but I enjoyed quite

This and Green Arrow are the two biggest regrets I have currently in terms of DC stuff I dropped between the New 52 runs and the Rebirth-onward runs (so far). Although I've been trying to shave away at my gargantuan pull list lately and SOMETHING had to go. Feels easier to cut stuff when it's promising a

Considering the various things I can be entertained by regardless of actual entertainment value, I figured this would work for me. Instead, I watched the first episode, told myself that maybe I'd try to watch the rest of it sometime, and then never did. Maybe I've just grown accustomed to shows that make sure to set

Oh embedded videos, you make me pine for the days when USA had all those cool shows that may not have been super exciting, but they worked dammit.

Hilariously, I think this is the first place I found complaints about the writer. I think up until this I'd ONLY seen complaints about either forced diversity or messing with an established character again. I mean, I can't actually complain about the "white guy writing teenage black character" concept based solely on

One day I'll make myself stop reading most comments sections for comic news. I went into one yesterday for Marvel announcing the new GLA series and figured I'd see if someone complained about it within the first five responses. Not sure the goal was met, but it certainly turned into the usual "this is a stupid thing,

Pretty much this in some fashion. I don't know that the season format Marvel wants to use is such a bad idea, but in my mind it'd work out better if a title would move along via altered plot courses once a few big arcs are over, or if a new creative team is being brought in, or both. Instead, they're currently stuck

Just as an off the wall suggestion, maybe the Howling Commandos of SHIELD trade that just came out in the past month. I'm not sure it was necessarily THAT great, but I found it to be fairly enjoyable and kind of wish it had been given a bit more time. If anything, it suffers a bit from being one of those series that
