Actually, Nixon jumped more than most of the rest of Easy because he made one jump with another unit (the 82nd, maybe? I don't remember). His plane got hit and he was one of only a handful of guys to make it out of the plane. I think that's mentioned later in the series, but it's been a while since I watched it.
