And then maybe grow back into it. I was a pretty serious collector from middle school through high school, but I pretty much gave it up by the time I graduated college. In the past few years, though, I've started picking up a lot of trade paperbacks to see what I've missed since then. (I just recently started reading

Don't tell me that you love me!

I'm happy for Clark Gregg, but in truth I would rather have had Season Three of Sports Night than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Yeah, I remember her from CBS' Under Suspicion, which was pretty good for a mid-90s network cop show. Then she showed up on the Sopranos as a madam in Tony's favorite brothel, and that's the last thing I've seen her in.

Sonia, I see we went to the same church growing up.

It wasn't music, but CNN reporting that Slobodan Milosevic had been deposed by opposition forces in Serbia. Very sexy stuff.

TUSK!

Cocaine and milkshakes, milkshakes, cocaine! Something sweet to ease the pain!

Second-best music video featuring dolphins. (First is, of course, "Estranged.")

It took me a minute to remember whether or not they were, in fact, the same person.

What a wisecracker.

Hey, I lived in Raleigh and I have opinions about Joyce Maynard. So uh, there's a data point for you.

I have to disagree that 49:00 "needed an editor." Its shambolic, ramshackle nature is what makes it great.

All Shook Down and Don't Tell a Soul both suffer from that 80s/early 90s overproduction that ruined a lot of good songs. The Rhino re-releases of those albums include some demos that scrape off all the gloss. I actually prefer these versions to the album ones.

For reals. I want them to play that song at my funeral. I'm only sort of joking about this.

I was (somewhat) saddened when I learned that Superchunk's new record was not, in fact, a Replacements tribute album. (How awesome would that have been?)

I can't say it's his best solo album, but it's how I discovered the 'Mats, so I have a lot of affection for it. Plus, it's got some great songs: "World Class Fad," "Runaway Wind," "First Glimmer," "Black-Eyed Susan," "Things."

Don't be silly, @avclub-35a00215eb3d273078fbdeeadb3dfe10:disqus, Rhianna is a person, not a band.
