this is not related to the article above, but i remember back in the hizzay when ratatouille was out, i read a review that said something along the lines of: "it's interesting that a movie set in france is the vehicle for the pixar film with the most wholly american message yet." something about the way it encourages…
Not that there's anything Hodor with that.
that's "plane'arium" to you, guy.
man these av club headlines are becoming so smarmy and snide its putting me off ever clicking on them.
real talk: blink 182 wrote some fantastic songs, and there are more than just a few on this album. take away their immature persona and their songwriting is mostly rock solid. the self-titled album came out of nowhere and if it didn't have 'blink 182' on the cover probably would have appealed to a much wider audience.…
i have barely seen any new movies this year. since we both love upstream color what else would you recommend?
more curious how long you spent looking for that a with the the o on top of it.

loved him in 'luck' also, playing the a good (?) guy for a change. this guy was one of the true hard-boiled actors in a generation tragically lacking in them.
Huh? Mariachi el Bronx write legitimately good music. They're hardly a novelty. Most actual bands only wish they had the songwriting nous and dexterity of Mariachi el Bronx. Besides, if you don't like their 'contrarian' aspect, then you don't have to listen to them…save your criticism for the 'real' band, The Bronx.

this album would be good if it had more songs like 'breezeblocks,' or more songs like 'tesselate.' unfortunately apart from those two tunes (also throw in 'matilda') this album lacks any substance or staying power. mercury prize should have gone to the maccabees in my opinion.
