controversial opinion, i prefer 'keep it like a secret' overall to 'perfect from now on.' i must have listened to it from start to finish a hundred or more times. my favourite song off the album changes just about every time i hear it, too, as does my favourite single moment. right now it might be the triumphant outro

crossover appeal? to who exactly? people who normally deliberately enjoy bad music?

if you have your own content (ie video files on a harddrive) look into kodi (formerly called xbmc). totally free, insane file type support, billions of technical tweaks if you so desire, completely customisable, comes in dozens of different flavours and builds depending on the hardward you want to run it on.

i don't know why. 'japanese comic books' is the most accurate way to describe them and more to the point doesn't carry any stigma like the word 'manga' does in the west.

i don't watch this show or anything but i just wanted to add that 'atari' is also used any time a bullet or something hits its target.

what makes you think it's insulting in japanese? it just means you're a something-nerd, eg. music nerd or cooking nerd. in the same way that i proudly describe myself as a music nerd in english i also call myself an ongaku otaku in japan. it's not insulting at all.

erm…why can't you just call them 'japanese comic books?'

don't worry, the problem here isn't with you.

"Who the devil are you?"

so ~$100 for the monoprice or ~$140-50 for the audio technica M50s…i'd pay the extra money for the flawless track record and build quality of the M50s. those things are bonafide monsters, particularly if you're listening to anything with an electronic beat in it.

I was kinda late to the party on this band but oh man when I heard Boys & Girls in America it became the soundtrack to the happiest summer of my life.

I feel like he is a fucking jerk to both of them at all times. I also feel like his character is comically one-dimensional and evil (without any justification that we know of yet) and find all of his scenes cringingly bad…

oh dear. oh me oh my. hopefully this is the article that finally causes AV club to drop this fucking horrible idea for a column.

the idol scene itself doesn't bother me, just the shittiness of the music.

i've tried a lot and apart from music from other genres perfume is the only 'chart' pop that i can stomach, let alone enjoy. like i said, take my opinion or leave it. but perfume are awesome!

just saw this comment.

i have lived in japan for a few years now and i have been exposed to most strains of japanese pop. take my opinion or leave it, but i believe that perfume is the only j-pop worth listening to, basically without qualification. unlike AKB and mostly every other idol group, the perfume girls' 'personas' are pretty much

fucking great punk album. imo the only band still around that comes close to this kind of edgy, melodic straight-up punk is the story so far. both of their full-lengths are near-perfect genre pieces. but this article has made me wanna go back and listen to lifetime (and kid dynamite…and none more black while i'm at

This is a terrible choice for a hated song. Seriously. First of all it's unfair for a grown-ass man to criticise a 17 year-old girl. Second, the song ain't even bad. Anything that gets overplayed THAT MUCH will start to sound redundant/annoying after a while. Third, and maybe most important of all, is that belittling

No Country for Old Men, Let the Right One In come to mind.
