There's still scope for a Dunkirk movie that would really stand out from the usual pack, I'd love to see a movie where they really try to portray a sense of a war fought by ordinary people - carpenters, teachers and accountants with humdrum regional accents, thrust into uniform and doing their best, rather than a

Last!

(I just realised your comment is 4 years old. Hi from the future!)

That episode annoyed me, I loved the premise but I thought it was a bit much how they portrayed Oswald as pretty much the devil-incarnate (which seemed to make Kennedy Jesus). Sam keeps jumping into Oswald and being all "Oh god, he's so evil, he's taking over my brain!". I feel we can kind of take it as read that

You can't afford your wife's head? I don't want to be there when THOSE repo men turn up

I doubt there's any to throw away, given the shitty source material

Roger Taylor has a horrible voice though, and wrote terrible songs. At least John Deacon could write

This would be better if you said "Is there anyone commenting on this thread that doesn't have his head so far up his ass he could use his bellybutton as a peephole" - the double negative just trips you up

Speak for yourself. I'm a catch. I've got my own guitar.

Does it get better than the first couple of episodes? That's as far as I got, it was kind of annoying me. I didn't think the cast was any good, the appearance of yet-more terminators seemed to have a diluting, too-much-of-a-good-thing effect, I was worried they'd be going down some quasi-romantic robot-sex direction

I second the assessment of a friend of mine - it's Dawson's Creek with guns

I know, who does that??

I though it was boredom? He was saying already in 2013 interviews that he was getting bored of the band again and whatever record they had out would probably be the last. They managed to get through 2014 and put a couple more out but it could've just been a case of "been there, done that"

Well he does say he brings a different songwriting sensibility to GBV - less 'mature' subjects, more of a teenage "let's rock!!" sensibility and songs about UFO's and insects and whatnot

Happy Love Week everybody!

Those kind of 'what if's are irrelevant. Nobody is suggesting we let hypotheticals dictate our behaviour - this is a case of people reacting to solid information, and it's not a question whether it's 'OK' to be entertained by Cosby now, it's a question of what you personally can stomach. I wouldn't be able to watch

I always disliked how the first line of A Streetcar Named Desire was basically the title of the movie. They might as well have had her drop a huge spanner at the same moment

I don't think that's the implication at all.

Off topic, but this stuff interests me - what did they mean by that?

Firstly, nobody has said anything about doing your own digging on artists - this is a case where information has come to light, and everyone is forced to make their own response to it.
