I think it's pretty stupid for them to wait that long too, but unless it's changed recently you can buy the whole season for download (legitimately even) off Amazon Video on Demand. That's what I did while it was airing since I don't have cable. Their copyright policies make it pretty much impossible to share with

@Chico

I still prefer DVD, but it can be annoying when you don't have time to finish the whole movie or, like Uestis says, there's just one scene you want to watch and you have to go through all the scene selection BS. It's nice to be able to stop the tape whenever you want and pop it back in a month later in a different

I've been saying it for years,
VHS is making a comeback, baby!

Kathleen Kennedy?
Why don't you put her in charge?

@Lance: Thanks! I was getting ready to scour the internet. I have to say I agree 100% with Mr. Phipps analysis.

@Andy K: I don't think any of it was in Newberry. There were scenes done in various places around the area, but the courthouse stuff is all in Marquette, where I live.

Anatomy of a Murder
Living in this remote, sparsely populated area as I do, our one claim to fame is the classic courtroom drama starring Jimmy Stewart which was filmed here and was based on a novel written by a local. I've been to all the locations in that film and I'm just curious if others are aware of it. It's a

So long and thanks for all the fish
I've never really been much for traveling and concerts and such, but when for some reason Douglas Adams decided to make an appearance at Michigan Tech just a little over an hour away from my tiny middle-of-nowhere town in the Upper Peninsula I dropped everything and hit the road

This is an outrage
AN OUTRAGE!!!

I know I'm not one of the elite like our buddy Tom up there, but I'm still a little hurt that someone would think I was attempting a firstie. I've had the first comment on these boards several times and I only posted when I actually had something to say about the article, not for the public masturbation fantasy that

Arrested Development Movie
Nabin: Between your blog post a month back and the interview I read yesterday I've had some time to contemplate the pros and cons. I think it probably is a bad idea. The series really was pretty much perfect and it might be best left alone. It lasted as long or longer than a lot of great

That would be great, but I wouldn't force my worst enemy to watch this show, much less three of my favorite comedians. Judging by their Riff on the pilot, at least they had the foresight to realize the show was bad back when we all still liked it.

I originally got respect for the guy from "Six Feet Under", but "Flirting With Disaster" cemented it. As far as I'm concerned he has a life-time pass even if this movie is terrible.

I think you make a good argument. I'll watch anything with Richard Jenkins, and I've rarely been disappointed. I'm also quite fond of Elias Koteas and I haven't seen him in awhile.

Don't know the show, didn't read the article, but
THANK GOD YOUR BACK, AV CLUB!!! Even if it's Todd, I don't care, I've just missed you all so much!

I guess I'm actually a bit of a lurker, but it sure seems like I comment a lot, it's just that it's usually in my head or to my friends in the room. I read probably a good 50% of the articles and comments on this site, it's just not often I feel compelled to add my two cents.

@jorel845: Yeah. Good eye. That error really stood out to me when I read the article and I'm really surprised so many of our fact-checking geek brethren are just letting it slip by. It is the holidays, I suppose.

Yeah, I didn't think he was purposely completing the cycle, it's just interesting to note that he did anyway.

@Jeff Lindsay: Great observation! I can't believe I missed that, but then again there was so much going on in this episode I shouldn't be surprised something slipped by. I have absolutely nothing to nitpick about this episode, I thought it was amazing.
Also, I bet the real Jeff Lindsay is jealous that he didn't think
