Bronson Pinchot talking about Mackinac Island! I think that brings the official tally to two times I can relate geographically to someplace mentioned in the AV Club.
My mom grew up on Mackinac Island and it wasn't always the tourist trap it's become today, it used to be genuinely charming. There was still fudge, though.

Am I the only one who has seen Sagat's pre-Full House standup? He's always been a sick fuck, he just pretended not to be for awhile so he could get paid.

PLEASE
Can we stop hating on really good shows! I loved it, it was funny and clever, and original. You're hating on minutia, man!

Todd
You sure show a lot of confidence for someone who's completely wrong about everything. Reminds me of W.

Ghost Tits: I live in a tiny town and I have zero interest in reading about events I will never be able to attend in the "big city". Even my "local" feed from Madison might as well be telling me who's performing on the moon for how likely I am to go there.

Yep. Lansbury in this role has long been my answer when someone asks me what's the scariest female performance in a movie (it could happen). Even Meryl Streep couldn't come close. I thought the remake wasn't bad (though unnecessary), but for the longest time I was dead set against it just because no one would be able

I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through all the A.V. Club locals until you open the Upper Peninsula of Michigan branch. I'm holding my breath.

Pearl Jam
If I take the Beach Boys out of play, I can't help but consider Pearl Jam. They have a bit of the popular-to-experimental arc of course, but it's also how they've represented their generation and have just followed their whims.

Yep. Beach Boys.
I'm really surprised it didn't even occur to me until I saw Phipps' response. There's plenty of other bands I like better, but there's really no other that comes as close to paralleling the whole Beatles "experience".

Really?
I no longer watch Heroes (regularly anyway), but I still read the write-ups because that's where the entertainment is. In that same vein I think I'll stop reading the write-ups for Dexter because they are decreasing my enjoyment of my favorite show currently on tv. This show is so much better than most of the

TV NATION
Lifetime pass. Seriously, watch it. I might be biased because I'm a liberal Michigander, but that was one of the best TV shows ever.

Cheers
I just started re-watching the last season and it holds up really well. Just an all-around enjoyable show. I'm trying to remember if they ever did a reunion show of any kind. Was it just their appearances on Frasier?

I like to believe
that Letterman got to do her after the topless desk dance.

Bad news, everyone!
It appears this may have just been a solid half hour of rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. I just read an article on Yahoo about canceled shows that said this is most likely next.

While I suppose it might be an interesting exercise to try to explain "humor" to someone who has no concept of it, I will simply advise you to try watching more of his stand-up or kill yourself. If neither of those things work then I guess you'll just have to accept that you are missing part of your soul and stop

Yeah. I don't want to get into a whole thing here, but I've just been rewatching the last few seasons of Seinfeld and they're spectacular. Of course, the finale is a different matter…

If they'd said what he died of we could've made witty attempts to fit it into the song. Since they didn't I'll just offer my condolences to any of his friends or family who read the AV Club comments section.

Sounds good
but does it own?

I've seen him in some other things as well (an episode of Frasier, for one) and I've come to the conclusion that his natural speaking voice is very close to that of the hippie teacher (Van Dreyson?) from B&B.

That was hilariously appropriate, mbs.
