I completely agree re: Boyd. He's on borrowed time, for sure. Even if he manages to survive the series, he's unfortunately done enough "bad things" that he can't escape unscathed. Ugh.

That last scene is going to stay with me for a long time.
I definitely liked the Elvis subplot - especially Mama Miller yelling at Jess about hating Elvis. It was definitely a good way to show a family grieving for someone they couldn't help but love, despite all of his shenanigans and his being a bastard (as well as a saint).
Jess started teaching adult writing classes back in the middle of the first half of the season, or so. It's probably at a community or two-year college so she would probably have a lot more flexibility.
Yes, she totally wrote the lyrics on her hand! I liked that Mags Miller laughed at this, too. It showed her softening up after being tapped so many times by Jess.
Fat Schmidt and Winnie forever!
I agree wholeheartedly. I laughed just as much as this episode as I have at most of the others this season, mostly because it showed Nick in a different light - one that highlights the things Jess wants in a guy. The potential for Nick to be a caregiver has always been there, but after seeing his family, it's…
This KILLED me. I am not Schmidt's biggest fan, I reside firmly in the Nick Miller camp, but this was great. Might be up there for the best line of the episode.
"I'm sleeping with Nick, too. Really."
"She's my..friiiend-room?"
"I'll help you lose that last 55 pounds, man."
The cut away to her face after hearing that Nick was trying harder at work was AMAZING. "I want him. Oh, I want him. Bad."
I am intrigued by the notion of Nick being so crazy at the beginning of the season because he did not want to admit his feelings for Jess. I feel like I need to go back and rewatch the entire series to watch the evolution of his character. I mean, the episode where he builds her dresser is obviously a nod to his…
Killed me. Great delivery from her.
I feel like the triteness was kind of pointed at by Nick at one point - "is that really what you want?"
Equals!
I love that Nick is kind of oblivious that he keeps mentioning his mouth to Jess. I really feel like he was just being normal, and referencing his mouth as much as he did wasn't out of the ordinary for him.
First name? Crap. Last name? Bag.
Um, how can you forget Regina Phalange and Ken Adams from Friends??
"Notice I said "Schmidt" twice because I feel that isn't really sinking in."
