Not for the first time, it sounds like a more interesting movie was happening behind the cameras.

Wow, never thought I'd read anything like this on a comment thread for an article about The Muppets.
Fox News on the other hand…

On the thread for the Horror Express DVD there was a discussion about favourite train movies, which reminded me of Breakheart Pass , where McKinney played (suprisingly) a preacher. So I watched it again last night and now I read this sad news.
His foul -mouthed cop in Eastwood's The Gauntlet was another memorable

In the doco included on the Deliverance DVD there's a discussion about how amazed everyone was at McKinney's ability to play dead for so long.

My favourite secular Christmas song is 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'

"…where he’s killed and reborn over and over again"
Sounds a bit like Captain Scarlet which would be a much better and more appropriate role for Cruise. Although considering how the live-action Thunderbirds turned out…

Totally agree. Love all those movies listed. One Hitchcock movie no one ever mentions is  Secret Agent which ends with a derailment and has John Gielgud as the romantic lead (opposite Madeleine Carroll) and Peter Lorre as a Mexican spy!

A+

The Australian Top 10

Wow Scrawler Murder by Death was on TV the other night, so I actually got that.

Kittens!

Great credit sequence tho.

The kazoo would be more appropriate.

Wow. Hunter S. Thompson lives!

I don't know, I think a little of Sarah Silverman goes a long way. She's best in small doses. I'm not sure I could stand a whole show built around her. The supporting cast will be crucial.

The last 750 o's were redundant.

Funny you should ask, I just have! Included in the DVD of The Seven Year Itch is a bonus disc featuring a 2 hour doco tiltled Marilyn: The Final Days (narrated by James Coburn) which goes into exact detail about the making (or rather, un-making) of the film. It ends with a half-hour assembly of the available

@avclub-fbefa505c8e8bf6d46f38f5277fed8d6:disqus My copy of Alien has the same feature. It was the first DVD I ever bought, must've been around 2000. I wonder if later copies also have that option?

Love that close up on the very happy banjo player!
