The Hunting Party (1971) is an amazingingly bleak example with Gene Hackman's wife, played by Candice Bergen being kidnapped by Oliver Reed. Although the reason for him grabbing her is almost comical the results are downright nightmarish. Very nihilistic ending. Or existential. Or something.
