@DesertDweller79:disqus Hmm. Interesting. Must be my fondness for season 4 playing tricks on my memory

oh for sure the technical aspect is different (I'm a classically trained dancer myself) and I didn't mean to equate them in a disparaging manner, although I guess my comment might've come off that way. Obviously Chehon and Daniel Baker are very different dancers than Alexa and Amelia.

there are some great dancers, but of the 35 people that remain before the green mile there's shockingly little variety. On my count there are two ballroom dancers, one tapper, one belly-dancer, and one popper, and everyone else is contemporary/ballet. Where's the season 4-level variety?

Yeah I agree with your assessment as to how these shows can more easily translate with foreign audiences.
I think part of the problem is also that shows like Parks &Rec or Communtiy are shown on cable, which in most cases is only available to a handful of Latinamericans, while shows like two and a half men are

yeah it's unfortunate how little these shows are discussed outside of U.S. - Canada - maybe UK because of how the international broadcasters handle most of these shows, if they get broadcast at all.
So us foreigners who actually hear about them end up having to seek them out elsewhere, our viewership doesn't count for

that was to let the final 40+ dancers that made it to the final in Vegas whether they'd made the top 20 and, therefore, the show. Otherwise it'd  be even more tedious

And killer vocals and dance moves. Also bucketfuls of charm
