Could they do a Spider-Woman movie? I mean, the character doesn't really have anything to do with Spider-Man, but at the same time, people are going to make the connection and Sony would probably would try to sue.

Yes. This.

Yes. This.

"The Comedian didn't kill JFK! In fact, they were pals!" is a hideously stupid retcon.

I'll vouch for it. @WCOG:disqus 's points are well taken, and I don't entirely disagree with them, but in my opinion, it didn't have the same unbearable self-seriousness that The Newsroom or Studio 60 have. It does have its moments of pandering and grandstanding, but they're less frequent, plus it has better-written

Mac insisting that Will is a great guy seems to be a holdover from their
prior relationship. Will WAS a great guy, then Mac tore his heart out
and left him and he turned into a dick.

I mean, from the very beginning: the pilot

I'd throw in Anderson Cooper's coverage of Katrina as a cable example—that was the moment where the rest of the country really started paying attention—but yeah, your point stands. I really want this to be good, but right now it looks like it's going to fall into all the same traps that made Studio 60 unwatchable.

One should not be permitted to use the phrase "The entitlement generation" in a 1000-word piece about the existential angst triggered by your >$100 online subscriptions and stereo system and noise-cancelling headphones. Christ.
