I don't blame him for wanting to re-brand the solo career. Johnny Marr + the Healers stunk. Saw them in Boston for the chance to get to see an icon up close, and it was maybe the worst live show i've seen.

I was too young watching Lindsay Wagner. But, just a short time later and an octave deeper, I wasn't too young for Erin Grey. Well, I was, but, you know…
Interestingly enough, I enjoy a tall glass of juice and fig newtons in the morning.
'Sesame Street' and 'Mr. Rogers' were huge influences on my childhood. As was 'The Electric Company.' The 70s wasn't all bad. There was an earnestness coming out of the 60s idealism that hadn't been deadened by the 80s yet. I feel very fortunate to have grown up at that time.
"Crystal Days" is a nice Bunnymen read…
I know a little German… he's sitting over there!

Crispin Glover yelling out, "Ted? Hey, where's the corkscrew, Ted??" and then having the corkscrew slammed down through his hand as it rests on the kitchen counter was and is all kinds of funny.

To capture these… Wolverines, one must first understand, no, become a 'wolverine.' Am I not right, tovarisch? Come, we must procure more photos of these wolverines.

I don't know, man. All those staged photo ops? That hysterically bad penalty shot goal video where he takes about 5 minutes to skate towards the goal, then lifts a backhander past a rooted-to-the-spot goalie? I think this guy is a paper tiger. With glowing balls.

Damn, I remember that song. I imagine if one were to drive through Fouke today one might still be able to pick up these tunes on a cassette rack in the local truck stop. Sure it might have a fine layer of dust on the spine, but it's a small price to pay for a slice of Americana.

I have all of Plopping Turtles' EP's! This is awesome. I will be there!

"The Legend of Boggy Creek" creeped me out as a kid, probably because it was so low budget it had that 'this looks kinda real' vibe to it. And all the shots of the swamps that showed nothing but the occasional turtle plopping off a log were enough to get my overactive mind to think I saw something lurking in the trees.
