I've read some of the books. I've found them enjoyable enough, but I still love the old Marvel comics run of the late 70's and 80s. They get dismissed pretty easily, but a good chunk of them are still fun to revisit. They did a decent job capturing the fun of the original trilogy.

I loved both the book and the mini-series, and although I haven't seen it in a while, I thought it held up pretty well. Maybe not as scary, but still some good creepy moments.

"And another thing… just wait 'til next year!" - Timmy Fucking Lupus, supurb martini maker.

Saw this in the theater and it hit me right in my emotional core. Transported me right back to that time in my life. Aside from the abuse subplot, that film hit as close to home of what I felt like growing up than anything I've seen and it surprised me and left me feeling pretty overwhelmed for a good time after. The crazy thing is, if I remember correctly, The Thing was pretty universally panned when it was released. I remember seeing the trailer when I was a kid and wanting to see it so badly, but being way too young.

"I love you."

Yo Frankie!

Can I get a 'Kumite…Kumite….Kumite" chant all up in here?

I wanted that Godzilla figure so badly, but it scared my brother so my dad nixed it. I instead got the large Marvel adaptation of Star Wars. Wish I still had that thing.

Just came here to say I friggin' loved 'Clue Club' as a kid, and that I love Cap'n Crunch cereal, controversy over his captaincy be damned. Just those two things. Thanks.

Hatchet 3 - The Hatchetest!

I'm liking it more and more. I can't wait to start listening to it!

Yes, Madeline was pissed she wasn't resurrected and asked to star in this movie.

I'd like to handle her truths…

Hear, hear. The guy is criminally underrated. So many great bass lines driving so many great Cure songs.

Ok, I'll cop to being close to tears the first time I popped that into my stereo. I was 17, had just broken up with my girlfriend and 'Disintegration' had just come out. I only knew 'Fascination Street' at that point.

I remember my video store had 'Staring at the Sea' and I rented it right after I had just gotten into the Cure. 'Disintegration' had just been released and I went all in tracking down their older albums. Aside from 'Why Can't I Be You?" I probably didn't know much else of what they'd done at that point.

I'm surprised more wasn't mentioned in the article of the Cure's impressive b-side output. There are a ton of gems, not the least of which are '2 Late', 'Harold and Joe,' and 'The Exploding Boy.'

It's on iTunes and Spotify now. I have to say, it's my favorite record of 2013 so far. It's really, really great. I've always loved Suede, saw them in NYC in '96 and I'm glad they're returned with material worthy of their early career. Having Butler back would be great, but Oakes has some great playing on

Funny enough, I saw the Charlatans on the 'Wonderland' tour and they were very good! But I will admit that album was kind of meh.Seeing Marr break out the Rickenbacker from about 10 feet away was definitely a cool moment for me. His vocals were tuned down way too much though and the songs didn't have any personality,
