It is never the wrong age to be captivated by dinosaurs. My 3 year old thinks they're the greatest thing in the world with little urging by me. He can identify probably 6 or 7 of them with ease. The fat that he was able to passably pronounce Parasaurolophus at 2 is a point of honour for my parenting.

Yeah. I think they were playing up the idea that reptile mouths are so full of various bacteria that persistent biting from even a little guy like a compy would kill you due to quick spreading infection. At least drop your strength to the point where a few would be able to get you opened up like a tinned ham.

For me it is seascapes and scenes where they nail that feeling of being so far out at sea that you're a week from land. I can feel it in the pit of my stomach. Bonus points if they include whaling and some tiny guys in a small wooden boat trying to spear some giant beast with a manual harpoon. I can feel their

Book good, movie bad.

I'd trade 4 reboots and half a dozen superhero movies for another movie or two in the Aubrey-Maturin series.

You don't get nicknamed "the atomic clock" for nothing.

Yeah. It came off sounding like some guy got the tabs and did it in his basement with audiology or something,

A bunch of remasters are finally coming starting with Kill em All and Ride the Lightning this year. I imagine if Justice comes with no bass again there will be quite a stink raised on the old internet but the band is pretty damn stubborn. You're lucky to find them acknowledge a real issue with the sound on that one.

It's mostly the normal backlash. Metallica is widely loved by people outside of the metal sphere therefore they must suck (even if you loved them before they made it).

I think the writers are trying to mirror Martin's somewhat sadistic no character is safe/I will kill your heroes style but lack the ability to do it without what can come across as pretty ham-handed efforts. To be fair, Martin has the advantage of being able to tell this story over the course of hundreds of thousands

Good for people like me who don't watch anything till 10PM. I don't want to fall asleep and then wake up 8 episodes in in the middle of the season finale.

The real life Grimace is going to be horrific.

The popularity definitely factors. Something they hate is way worse if other people like it.

And the whole thing is just some story he's telling his kids while they're on their way to get hamburgers for supper.

But we had aerial photography and satellite imagery for ages. Did they just use an illusionary blanket or something? I've only read 4 books and don't remember the details of the timeline or the hiding methods. The movies didn't really bother with this. Maybe they could deal with it like the Dresden Files series where

"people would freak out"

Good way to keep the brand alive in the tweets and social medias.

That is the irony. That none of the "ironic" things in the song are such.

I can imagine 4 years ago this would be direct to DVD… but since people don't buy physical media anymore they want to clog up my netflix interface with it.

Undead ice wraiths? Dragons? No problem.
