He wasn't crazy, and saying he "threatened to kill his family many times" is extremely misleading. For a far more credible and accurate look at Damien's state of mind, consult Devil's Knot or @avclub-f1b3192eb719b96fd0f4ae89e0c97476:disqus 's link downthread.

@avclub-f1b3192eb719b96fd0f4ae89e0c97476:disqus Yup. The fact that there are non-supporters who point to Exhibit 500 as some sort of proof of "insanity" is pretty alarming.

If for any reason you still have lingering doubts after seeing the films, please read Mara Leveritt's fantastic book, Devil's Knot. Because of the different medium, it's able to go into far more detail than even a very comprehensive film can. These men are innocent.

Joe and Bruce are incredible, both as filmmakers and as people. I met Joe and Jason when I saw PL3 at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. The film was fantastic, but the experience of meeting such great people made it the best night of my life.

Congratulations on prefacing an ignorant ramble featuring the repeated use of an offensive slur with "not to be a dick, but…".

I certainly disagree that the new findings wouldn’t have merited new trials, and I’m baffled as to how you don’t think the defense couldn’t have made a case for jury misconduct. I also think the actions of Ellington show that the prosecution must have felt similarly. Further, I think the possible postponing of the

    RE: Jessie's Inconsistencies

These finding are perfectly acceptable. They are not necessarily connecting Hobbs and/or Jacoby to the crime. It is showing that the only definite DNA evidence left at the crime scene does not belong to the three convicted men. It cannot be deemed “not sufficiently exculpatory” just because it does not prove the

“There is a dearth of physical evidence — i.e. clothing fibers that were tied to the Echols/Baldwin households, though not to a high degree of exclusivity, and a knife found stuck blade down in a lake behind Baldwin's trailer, about which there is no great certainty, regarding its possible use in the crimes.”

“Once convicted in 1994, the onus was, in fact, legally on the Three to prove their innocence, which they have never done. This is why they remain convicted child murderers.”

(I’m sorry for the delay in my response. Hopefully the system notifies you.)

I'm not ignoring what you said. It's my understanding that you think that "denying the possibility entirely" requires one to willfully ignore the facts of the case, which is a position that I disagree with. I apologize if my tone conveyed otherwise.

Well, considering how flimsy the Hollingsworth's testimony was, how absurd the testimonies of these "private confessions" were, how inaccurate and blatantly coerced Jessie's "confessions" were (yes, even the ones after conviction), and even the complicated history of Damien's psych profile (http://www.jivepuppi.com/da…

I highly recommend reading Mara Leveritt's book that this film is based on. It's incredibly well-written and well-researched, both utterly terrifying and extremely moving.

I can always count on Sam Adams to praise the Paradise Lost films when the opportunity arises. I drove five hours to Amsterdam to see Purgatory and I had the honor of meeting Jason, Holly, and the Berlinger family. The film itself was excellent, but the overall experience made it the greatest night of my life.

I drove five hours to go see Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory a few weeks ago. Excellent film, and easily the best moviegoing experience of my life.

The top three sources of insane Internet rants: 1) people who buy the Illuminati nonsense, 2) 9/11 "truthers", and 3) people who think the West Memphis Three are guilty. Guys. Lady Gaga isn't brainwashing anyone. The government didn't knock down the towers. Damien, Jason, and Jessie are innocent. Please stop making
