Yep - one of the answering machine mishaps mentioned in the article.

Thanks for recommending this movie, which I've absolutely loved for many years. I love the scenes in the beach house (where another 90's throwback - star-69 - is mentioned) and Todd Field's barely stifled laugh when he gives his wife a gift, which I won't spoil. Also, the name "Big Jeans" for a cat is amazing.
Wow - this brings back memories! Every so often my parents would rent this entire series from our local Christian bookstore in Orlando (along with a VCR cuz we were too poor to own one) and we would marathon-watch them. I was too young to be discerning and loved them all. Now I'm about as far away from these…
The female version is called a codette
I wanna go up dere Gil-Bert
Did anyone pick up on Annie's remark that she tried to stop the ass crack bandit two years ago? Seems like a subtle way to deny the existence of season 4 since that actually happened three years ago in season 2's Intro to Political Science. I know, that's very "comic book guy" of me.
Surprised Ragnarok didn't make the list, but good to see it mentioned. I love me some Louis but Ragnarok beat Oh My God in my book. Ask me about my New God was also great.
This might be the first "period" movie about something I remember happening. Guess that means I'm getting old. We were living near Orlando when this happened and I remember our entire school going outside to watch the shuttle launch and everyone freaking out when it blew up. School got out early that day and we…
Saw them open for Love & Rockets in LA back in 1996 and was blown away. I love going to a show and discovering a great new band I've never heard of and this was definitely one of those times. I think they said that they had just signed with Capitol Records that very day.
Was anyone else disturbed by the length of the Lucille-smoking-into-Buster's-mouth scene? It started out funny and then totally grossed me out by the end.
That time warp thing felt like a Flaming Lips video.
What a fun, sexy time for us!
I was just re-watching Arrested Development season 1 (Shock and Aww) last night and recognized Abed's Dad as Nazghalia - the "chick" Gob sleeps with because he thinks Michael is into her.
Love Lonely is an Eyesore, Throwing Muses, and 4AD - glad to see some recognition. There was another great 4AD compilation from 1995 called No Balls that I think I got for free at The Body Shop or something (even though I've never bought anything there). Great stuff by Red House Painters, Kendra Smith, Wolfgang…
I definitely agree with the comments here - definitely an A episode. This season's felt a little rote to me and this broke the mold, brought back great characters like Tammy and Duke, and was hilarious. I loved the scenes with the people who think they're cool looking longingly into Jerry's house.

So, am I the last one to connect Goodman's filming of this movie with his "Look away, I'm going through something" phase on Community's pillow/blanket fort episode last season?

For those short on time to read, I highly recommend the audiobooks, which are narrated by Tim Curry. He does an amazing job. A few are narrated by the author, and those are less successful to the point of being annoying. The movie ate it. Hard.
