Can I just say that Wild Palms is better than it should be given all the things that are wrong with it? The VR stuff is dodgy at best - especially the VR addiction that Ernie Hudson develops - but at least they don't try to make it look "futuristic" and "edgy." And casting a way in over his head Jim Belushi as a way

There was a time where I could recite Beefheat's "Pena" completely straight-faced. This never got me laid, strangely.

I maintain that The Last Dog and Pony Show is severely under-rated, but "Mega-Manic" doesn't make that point of view seem sane. That said, "Who Was Around?" is probably his best post-Sugar song so it kinda balances out.
