It'll be a still from the Appa/Nyla fight scene. In my head at least.

I'm not sure how anyone could think that Hum deserve to be lumped in with the beginnings of adult alternative…I'm just gonna have to assume that you heard "Stars" once back in '95 and haven't bothered to listen to the rest of their discography because otherwise you make no sense at all.

If we're talking A+ episodes, "The Storm" is the only one I have in season 1, but "Jet," "The Blue Spirit" and the finale all rate pretty highly as well.

The Beach made Azula funny.

A wizard did it.

I knew of its reputation when I first went through the series, and even with lowered expectations I still thought it was well below the quality bar that the previous episodes had set.

This kinda goes back to the discussion last week about how the narrative was much more multi-faceted than it might appear in the abstract. Sokka's arc may not be as obvious/showy as Zuko or Aang's but it's definitely one of the thing I appreciate more on rewatch than I did initially. Watching him develop his niche as

No love for Anya quickly turning off the radio as it's reporting her bank robbery? I'd say that's at least on par with Spike and Xander taking the jacket in terms of funny.

My Wife Aunt Calpurnia
It's just an inherently funny phrase, and it gets more funny the more it gets repeated. One of my favorite non-Three Men and Adena scenes of the first season.

Even worse, a show on UPN trumping a show on AMC in terms of mystery plotting. U. P. N.

I thought they were more Ostrich-Horse than Horse-Chicken myself.

Sorry DrFlimFlam, the correct answer is "Fire Maple Song"

I thin the other reason that the flashbacks are so essential is that its the first time that Duncan, Logan and Lily become more than just symbols of what's been lost. You get to see them interacting like the best friends they were, without the dark cloud of Lily's death surrounding their existence. You get to see

I like to pretend that the second disc of The Wall doesn't exist sometimes so that it doesn't seem like as big of a disappointment as it really is. It's a case of the concept overwhelming the songs - obvious exceptions aside - in the worst way, while the first disc is much more balanced.

AHM gets a bad rap but I'd argue that the songs are all good it's just the production that sinks them - I remember someone sending me a radio session version of "Atom Heart Mother" that was leagues ahead of the album version, shame I can't seem to find it again.

SPOILERS

I'm pretty sure that you could tell that he movie suuuuuucked just by seeing the credit 'Written by M. Night Shamalamadingdong'

If you need to be told that Watercest is wrong then you are already beyond hope.

Thank you for the restraint…
…in not bringing up the scene from that movie that was analogous to "Imprisoned."
