I still have my copy of The Black Hole book n' record set. Seems like I oughta take it for a spin tonite.

Yes, check out TNT for sure. It's a fan favorite, and in my opinion it is their absolute high point. Though their later records have a few good tracks, for the most part it's all downhill.
Holy shit, I couldn't agree more. When I heard about this new record I thought, "huh, maybe I'll pick up the vinyl this time". Saw the cover and ruled that out immediately. Then I streamed it, and decided against purchase of any format. Whatever magic they may have had on previous albums is totally depleted now…for…
Solid reference, but I refuse to believe that 3 Way Tie For Last is your fave. It's weak as all hell!
Currently reading Facing the Other Way: The Story of 4AD Records. It's a 600+ page history of that legendary indie label, packed incredibly full of first person interviews and countless minutiae about the bands, fans and taste makers of the early 80's - late 90's alternative scene in Britain. Highly recommended if…
If this is a movie about Silverchair, I expect that it will be released
And punk rock doesn't pay the bills.
Every time a sales zombie from Cocks Cable calls trying to get me to "uncut" my cable cord, I tell them to call me back as soon as they allow ala carte channel selection. Sounds like I can just give Amazon more of my money instead.
If this movie were about the making of The Keep on the Borderlands, I'm so in.
Seeing them Thursday, can't wait. Didn't know that they were Schrammless…I thought it was acoustic support for the latest release.
I didn't realize until very recently that "don't mess with Texas" began as an (apparently very effective) anti-littering campaign, and was only later appropriated by the Hee-Hawin' denizens of that allegedly great state.
Just throwing this out there, as a regular attendee of shows at this venue: It's a 1920's era theater with dozens of operational A/C vents across the floor, so I imagine that the owners didn't want gallons of sticky, so-called "soda" (and likely other fluids, bodily and otherwise) gumming up the works in the basement.…
Pretty cool, internet.
Best part of that emoticon progression (is that a thing?) is that it bears a striking resemblance to David Caruso.
My dad has long been one of those menwholooklikekennyrogers.com, but the resemblance is now uncanny thanks to KR's failed plastic surgery and advancing age. Love you, pop!
Did any of youse actually click on that bio sheet for Jon Dorenbos? If it wasn't hosted at the actual Eagles team site I'd be convinced it was an elaborate parody. Dude's a calf model? Magician? Exec producer of a music documentary? Indoor compost enthusiast? Best part: "Spent the 2015 offseason in Budapest,…
My ears felt unsafe from their shitty music when they opened for Malkmus last year; does that count?
I'll be there…already got my tix tho.
Does the bassist of faux brit-pop also-rans DriveShaft really have room to talk about shitty songs composed as a cash-in? I think not.
Plus the cool picture of a tortoise on them!
