Came here to say the exact same thing. I downloaded it the day it came out and love it; it has everything that was (is still) great about KoL but is much faster to move around/explore with no limits on the number of turns you can have in a "day".

Agreed, it makes me feel (slightly) better to think that either Mattis or Kelly will always be in the country to swat his hand away from "the button". Unfortunately I think that results in a "Seven Days In May" type scenario, but better that than nuclear holocaust, I always say.

I'ma go out on a limb here and say that all 5 seasons are excellent TV. Sometimes funny, sometimes dramatic/cringeworthy/sad…but always top-notch production, acting, editing, music, everything. I'd also hazard a guess that he intended it that way from the beginning, not just as a vehicle for cheap sitcom gags.

Quick plug for Mehr's *excellent* book Trouble Boys. Even if you have only a passing interest in the Mats (and who doesn't?), it's more than worth the long-ish read. Be warned: It's ultimately a very sad story, on multiple levels.
