SPOILER

Sounds like that plotline was a casualty of an uncooperative cast member. That's interesting, I had no idea. I also wondered why that ended up not going anywhere, but it's easy to forget about while watching the Vic and Shane Show.

I really hate the ending church scene… and "Across the Sea"… but I wasn't put out that LOST ended up not making sense. By that point, I no longer thought it was going to make sense, and it truly was "about the characters" for me (I liked getting to hang out with them). Still, they could've given us a better ending,

@avclub-fdd08c99916b5c8cbf1d1dd364ab229c:disqus I'm gonna start calling it "Enlightened (which is a great show that you should totally watch!)" every time I mention that show… which would be never, so I hope you guys pick up the slack!

And his other uncle, played by Matthew Perry.

"Anya's tales of cursing men to horrible deaths and her awkward social interactions" were pretty much the point of her character (also, fear of bunnies)… and as far as I'm aware, she's widely adored for that.

Your perspective on Ronnie is intriguing. I always found him underwritten compared to the others — I don't remember anything about his personal life, for example — and figured he was just a follower. He exhibited how a follower is pretty much a pawn, and he paid for it — for not exerting enough authority over his own

Besides, Fringe was a much better show after shifting from the procedural style to the myth arcs.

It gave us a view of the conspiracy from an insider's perspective. And it would do that again in Dreamland.

Not to mention the episodes about Skinner and the Lone Gunmen.

It's funny how people love Wesley and hate Xander when they're both self-righteous, self-loathing, passive-aggressive assholes who chafe at being underlings… It must be the accent.

I kinda liked Wesley as a monster-hunting Niles Frasier. And when he turned into the most tortured character on the show — more gloomy and tortured than Angel! — you gotta figure, that is one messed-up dude.

Jesse Pinkman is the character I root for in Breaking Bad. But yeah, early in the first season, I wished for his death several times an episode. Thank Jeebus they didn't kill him off as planned!

I'm terrible at consuming pop culture in a timely manner. Why else would it take me so long to get through Breaking Bad? I only got caught up on Community last Dec! I can't even explain why this is the case. Or why I spend more time reading about stuff on AVC than watching it.

I don't doubt you. But as someone who was once into anime and j-dorama, I'm not going down that rabbit hole again!

True… well, I've kinda softened on Vincent Kartheiser, but derailing Cordelia (my favorite character) was a crime it took me a long time to forgive. I'm not completely okay with her arc, but what's done is done. I also find Jasmine herself underwhelming… great in concept (Oprah H. Christ as Big Bad), but tedious as a

Interesting. I gave up on House very reluctantly, but I've never felt the urge to check out the later seasons until now. Just when I thought I was out….

30 Rock is one of the few shows where characters becoming more cartoony works, but I do like S1's more low-key style (but still packed with rapid-fire jokes).
