I like Season 5, too. It's kind of an Angel story arc done with the Scooby Gang, don't you think? Buffy was never so epic as in S5.

I'm definitely not a fan of Seasons 6 and 7. I didn't care for the (seemingly) unrelenting grimness, the preachiness of a certain storyline, or Willow's heel turn. But 6 has had so much support on these boards, I'm veering on giving it another try. I'm enjoying Homeland, after all, so I guess I do derive some…

My list would be full of comedies, especially Arrested Development. And I don't think I could pick just one or two Buffy episodes (like I could with the X-Files). It's truly a show that is more than the sum of its parts.

You don't like "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered"?

The ventriloquist episode isn't bad… not quality, but it's not bad. Anyway, even the bad episodes of Buffy are worth watching, except the evil computer one.

Ok, there's really no way I can defend "Go Fish" but it does have a bunch of funny scenes. I like it.

People hate "Him"? I don't know what to think anymore.

Yeah. And I always feel bad for Scratchy (that's the cat, right?). I hardly ever find Itchy & Scratchy funny, although I like and appreciate the cartoons. But they're far too cruel to be truly funny.

Gee, I wonder who put in "CancerAIDS"?

The show was so manic that it's not surprising that its energy flagged for a stretch. Still, it might have bounced back if it had gotten more seasons. Case in point: 30 Rock.

Community basically took the same idea to the most absurdist extreme possible, which worked for me (I realize some people thought it was too much).
